John worked with Andrew Goldstein on sticky, so I was expecting them to work with him again and on more songs. Interested to hear what direction they go with this record.
Also, by the sound of some of their instagram posts, they are re-recording their first record?

 

No. They’re doing the whole “This is our first album” approach.

 

What does that mean?

 

"We're approaching this album as a brand-new band making our very first album, with no history or preconceived notion of what we need to sound like yada yada yada."

 

That’s all good and well but will that mantra pay off? Judging from the video other band members weren’t fully feeling it 100% of the time which is expected when 9 albums in. But hey, these guys released one of my favourite albums of the last what, 20 years or so, I’ll take what they say till I hear it!

Not sure what you mean by this - here are some of the working titles i’ve grabbed so far:

I Think About You All The Time
Porto
How To Exit A Room
Blame
Hodge
So You Know
Spiraling

Obviously all working titles but there are clips of essentially all of these in the most recent video

 

I meant to type tracklisting one - so yeah - I’d seen that earlier in the week. Wasn’t sure if there was a new one.

 

Ah I didn't see that - got it. Watching them put together "How to Exit a Room" was really awesome. Excited to hear more news about this and hopefully get a timeline soon...I'm assuming we're talking about Fall 2023 at this point.

It’ll be with a tour package they’ve done before

It doesn’t leave a lot of options since SSF ends a few days before.

 

Was thinking Red Rocks maybe but it looks like there's already something happening there that day

 

Going to be The Maine/Good Charlotte/Boys Like Girls/Metro Station in Salt Lake City

The Maine/Anberlin/Lydia/From Indian Lakes would be sick, but there's almost no chance I actually go

 

Would the 8123 Tour lineup be too obvious? Rocket, Brighten, This Century
