Midwest folks, stay safe out there tomorrow. I’m taking my kids to my parents’ house early in the morning because our house got wrecked by a tornado a couple years ago while we were inside and I’m not doing that again. Our home is basically a remodeled mobile home placed on top of a crawl space so it’s just not safe here in weather like that. I can’t believe it’s already going to be like this here in Michigan in early April, but we’re currently living on a doomed planet so them’s the breaks I guess. I kept hearing reports about how bad it was going to get tomorrow and thought well exactly how bad? So I checked the radar and…oh.

I live in CLE and had no clue weather was supposed to get bad tomorrow. I guess I am a little east of that red lining, but still pretty close.

Thank you. We made it to my parents and I’m currently sitting in the basement with my kids which makes me feel like I can breathe. They’re talking about potential “lemon sized hail” scattered throughout the area so…that did not help.

Seriously. Those ice and wind storms brought down multiple trees in our neighborhood again and it was really not great. Has me increasingly worried about storm season this summer. It is absolutely wild to me that anyone would still deny climate change because the weather patterns barely make sense to me anymore. I recall the four seasons being pretty cut and dry as a kid and that kind of seems like a bit of a distant memory right now.

You've got to be fucking kidding me. How? How the fuck does this keep happening?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!!?!!?!?

 

We had 7 confirmed tornados here in New Jersey on Saturday, tied for the most ever recorded in one day. Luckily no injuries or deaths, just some property damage. Nothing like what the Midwest is dealing with but was scary nonetheless given that it’s not a common thing here.
