They have kept their falling out pretty private at least. I don’t see fun reuniting until after 2030.

I don't really think it will ever happen. I honestly am not sure I believe the demand will be there even if they do. Not to make any kind of serious money (in terms of people who are already rich). I don't think they were around long enough to have people in 10 years be like wow we really need a fun. reunion.

I'm pretty sure there are more people who have no idea that Jack was ever even a part of the band than there are people who want a reunion.

I guess it could happen, but the only motive I see would really be that they, as a group, want to do it. I'd put the odds at 10%

But I want to be crystal clear: if it does ever happen, it will surely put me in financial ruin.

I literally talked to someone the other day who knew who Jack was and had no idea he was in Fun. haha, so I think you’re right

I love the design but it’s super impractical, my first copy already ripped so I went ahead and got another.

I'm hoping at some point we'll get at least one more Nate album. Doesn't seem that likely but a guy can dream.

Just did a Some Nights listen, and for the life of me I'm never going to understand how people didn't like Stars when this album came out. Truly one of my favorite songs of all time

I do remember this, now that you mention it. In general, I remember people being mad about that album.

Some Nights was the first big pop album I really got on board with. This is excluding Enema of the State, Good Charlotte, etc., IE bands that are obviously pop bands but had gUiTaRs. To adolescent me they were rock bands and rock bands only.

Fun. was the premiere band that made it "okay" for me to like pop music but I did not like Stars at all when I first heard it. I was not used to auto-tune, longer songs in general, and I'd not yet heard My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Now, I love Stars. I'm very glad I came back to it.

Stars is wonderful. The wailing at the end is perfect.

The auto tune was/is annoying af but the song itself is great. The iTunes Session version is infinitely better.

really nice to hear his voice again, but definitely a tease at it's really just 30 seconds of Nate

Andrew Dost is on this week's episode of Chris DeMakes a Podcast talking about We Are Young.

It's a great episode (most of the ones I've listened to are, really like how Chris talks about songwriting), not just for the insight into how the song came together but because of how earnest and nice Andrew comes off - and he's clearly a huge Less Than Jake fan and is loving the chance to get nerdy and granular about music with someone he admires.
