Even if convicted, he would only pay fines. As a first time offender, there's basically zero chance he would spend a second behind bars. I honestly doubt he's even truly upset about this whole ordeal. It's only going to make him money.

 

I think the best thing to come from this is that the Republicans have learned absolutely nothing from 2020 or the midterms and are unified behind Trump once again. It's really quite amazing, and a true gift for anyone who doesn't want a Republican in the White House. DeSantis probably stood a chance of getting elected, but they'd rather back a criminal.

 

So if convicted… could he even run for president legally or is that with the election cases?

 

Oh my god can you imagine what its going to be like if he is convicted and can't run?
