The Neck Deep Cover STINKS. I looked the playlist up. Was bummed the H2O song was also missing. I am generally not a fan of any pop-punk bands covering Blink. I am sure it is fun at shows, but the recorded versions are all much worse than the original.

 

That's the Quad Cortex. That's what Mark uses. I think he used to be a kemper guy.

To avoid the inevitable next phase of rankings, rarest/coolest Blink item you own?

I've got one of the coffee mugs that were released about a year ago (1 of 182), 3 of the monthly pins, Lemmings and Uranus on vinyl, and a photo with Mark.

Probably easy to get stuff, but being in Australia having this stuff is pretty cool.

 

I have a TOYPAJ release day banner/poster. It’s a huge 2-sided cardboard banner that hanged off the ceiling of my hometown local record store. One side is the album art with release date. The other side is a photo of the band with a white background. It’s pretty rad and I kept it in great shape.

I also have a white Tom DeLonge signature Squier Stratocaster. It’s the rarest of his signature Stratocasters. It’s in pretty good shape for being a 21 year old guitar too. Had the black one but sold that.

 

This conversation makes me sad because it just reminds me of all the cool stuff I lost or gave away over the years. I guess my one cool old item is the classic Atticus track jacket from like 2003/2004.

i searched her name in here and nothing came up but Katie Toupin is a singer/songwriter from Louisville, Kentucky. she used to be in a band called houndmouth but now releases music on her own. she did a couple blink renditions that i really enjoy and some of you may as well!

Honestly, my favorite Blink cover was Doja Cat singing Always. Never not funny.

I don't know, Mark and Tom have such a very specific style within the genre whenever anyone tries to emulate it or do their take it is never as good or interesting.

 

the only Blink covers I like are the ones that have a unique spin on them. note-for-note covers in general typically don't do anything for me. unless it's a glow up in production or something from the original.

 

i come back to this one a lot. it pleases my ears.

 

I have a skatedeck branded with the Honda Civic Tour and blink/My Chem signed by both bands. It was one of a handful made/signed.
