Word is they played some new stuff last night in Vancouver

 

I went to the venue I'm seeing them at for the first time over the weekend and I don't even know how it's gonna work. The place felt too small for a Porches show. I think it's going to be chaos.

Japandroids began tour in Vancouver, played new songs (videos, setlist)

 

I swear horseshoe tavern has the worst layout for sold out shows. A couple years back I saw Billy Talent play there, and the venue was pure mayhem. Can't wait to see Japandroids there lol

I'm really baffled as to how this show is being put on there. They could have easily sold out Mod Club or maybe even Danforth Music Hall. It's gonna be a blast regardless.

I'm kind of ready for some new Japandroids music. I know it's like 3 years too soon, but they went into hibernation September last year to write a new album, so who knows?

 

I wasn’t a fan of their last album but definitely excited for new material.

 

Listened to Celebration Rock for the first time in probably five years tonight & can’t believe I forgot just how hard the sequence of “Adrenaline Night Shift” > “Younger Us” > “The House That Heaven Built” rips. What a satisfying record.

 

Celebration rock rules so much

 

Might be a top 10 album of the decade.

 

Surprised to see no chatter for the new live album. It’s great.

 

Shit I forgot that’s out

 

I listened to the first few songs and wasn’t feeling the sound. I’ll give it another run this week.
