I didn’t do too many full listens to the leak because it was incomplete but this album is pretty magical, especially the back half. Excited to see what other people think (As someone who loves NFR but hasn’t heard much else, I’m definitely satisfied)

Never heard of him before, is he just one of those pastors for some megachurch?

not a fan of his presence here. she could've evoked whatever feeling she was going for without him or with a different recording of someone who doesn't tolerate abuse

Gotta say, even as a big fan, so far I find this mostly a snooze after the interludes, which are at least enjoyably bizarre. Lana still has no idea how to sequence or edit an album and it is crying out for anything even vaguely upbeat after the second half of "A&W." I die a little every time the piano plods back onto whatever song is starting.

oddly enough, i love the Jon Batiste interlude. feels like a nice yet unexpected extension of Candy Necklaces.

I'm on track 11 and definitely feel like I've hit a wall here and that this album is way too long. Echoing @hollowmines that there is just way too much plodding, much like her last couple albums. I just don't understand why she doesn't want to mix things up, but oh well

My issue after sitting with the leak is still the front half being heavy on piano only tracks, idk if I can remember a more back heavy album recently. However, the songs in the front half are pretty and more vocally focused so I have found them growing more the last couple days. I’ll listen to the interludes once just to say I listened fully front to back now that the missing track is available but I’ll prob never revisit those again. “Fishtail” is probably my favorite currently, A&W has grown to be amazing, Peppers is very fun and Fingertips is another good one.

Oh cool, an hour ten into the album there's an interesting song, finally!!!

The fact that everyone knows what song I'm referring to without asking says something

The last 3 songs here are easily the highlight, can't believe how long it takes to get to them though

I could do without the interludes - at least the first one - but otherwise this is really gorgeous so far. Not sure what some of you are talking about! *cough steve*cough*

Right now my take is if you cut the interludes and tracks 11-13 you’d have an 11 track album with basically no misses, not saying those 3 songs are bad but not really a fan of the features and I think there are more exciting melody choices on the rest of the songs

There are some really funny/wild lines on here lol. Overall I like it, but I would shorten it a bit.
