Ok, it leaked, so fast thoughts: There's a reason this has been one of my favorite, and most played bands, since I first heard TTTYG demos, they've made a brand of music that just sits very close to my heart and scratches a very specific itch of mine. The way Patrick thinks about music and melody has always been very very very inline with my own.

I think the new album takes everything they've been working on their whole career and once again pushes forward. A culmination of the band's catalog and influences. I don't think the band has had a miss and I still find enjoyment in all of their albums. (SRAR and Mania specifically I think remain criminally underrated by some fans.) This will be on repeat the rest of the year and is very poised to become another soundtrack to a year of my life. They just have a way of doing that.

Yeah, this was a good first listen and Fake Out is something pretty special. On first listen, it’s almost certainly my favorite since Folie, which is what I expected. I’ve always been a very casual fan so I don’t know how often I’ll return to this, but it’s quite good and I’m super excited for bigger fans to hear this.
