While I totally understand the exhaustion for most, I’ve somehow never seen them live lol

I will take Green Day's "boring festival set" over 75% of the artists discussed in this thread. Over and over and over.

I mean...it's a great set and really fun but I've seen a variation of it for over 2 decades so until they start introducing at least 1-2 new songs, tough to keep going. If you have NEVER seen them then, I highly recommend it. Probably the best live band out there still today.

  6. I've never gotten the "huhuhuhuhwuhhhh!" part of "Lights Out" out of my head. Anytime I need a quick little chortle, I think of that.

Side note: Back in the day, I had that Letter Kills album and Emanuel's first album on the same burned CD so I always incorporated those bands with each other, and always got them confused with each other too. Good times haha.

Honestly, I've never connected those dots before. But those two bands were in a very similar vein. BRB. Gotta go listen to "The Hey! Man" now.

  10. I also got Bon Iver tickets for $20, which I assume are usually much more than Death Cab shows, so yes, I feel extremely hashtag blessed.

My only knowledge of Millionares came from this article in which a Stereogum writer "took one for the team" and attended a Brokencyde show in NJ:

Taking One For The Team: The Brokencyde Concert Challenge

"The first thing the Millionaires girls said when they hit the stage was “Middle finger in the air if your pussy’s tight!” That’s how it started! Within five minutes, they instructed the crowd (of CHILDREN, mind you) to pop pills, snort cocaine, suck dick, and fuck without condoms."

So big props to So What! They put out a statement that they are adding a stage and are adding metal bands. They know metal was an important part of So what and people bought tickets expecting metal bands and they let those people down. So they are adding a 4th stage that will be all heavier acts.

    again Bamboozle/John D take notice.
