Does Lev need to be 13 though? The way he acts can easily just be explained away by the fact that he has been raised in a cult.

 

I don't think their conflict works as well if it's a 35-40 year old going up against a 19 year old but that's just me lol. I guess in an post-apocalyptic world it doesn't matter as much though.

 

I guess he doesn’t *need* to be, but I find the parallel between Abby/Lev and Joel/Ellie (Part 1) works better in that sense. she essentially becomes his guardian by the time they make it to California, and I feel like that dynamic gets a bit bungled if you have them like 3 years apart or whatever. I’d much prefer they find someone, like they did with Bella, who can convincingly play 13/14 years old than age the character up in order to use the same actor as in the game, but that’s just me.

I didn't remember just how early into the game Joel dies (this is the spoiler safe thread right?)... I wonder if it's going to be the season premiere?

 

Kinda feels like it has to be at the end of the season premiere. Can see them cutting to the credits after Ellie gets knocked out

 

That's why it sucks season 1 was so rushed. We're going to have spent so little time with Joel in the TV series compared to the game

 

If we’re not getting Abby in s2 like they alluded to I’m sure it wouldn’t be the season premiere. Also if they do kill him off in s2 and I read that wrong then I would imagine it would be at the end of the second episode.

 

I'd say if they're doing two seasons for part 2, it'll happen at the end of the first episode, and if they're doing three seasons for part 2, it'll happen at the end of the second episode..

 

There were some rumors floating around about Naughty Dog casting for a TLOU game and the supposed plot had no mention of Ellie. People were unsure if it was for Factions or TLOU3

Viewer Anon spoke up about it and says Ellie is very much featured in the third game

I'd argue she's integral to Ellie's story.

It'd be cool of TLOU 3 was about mending.

 

Yeah I agree for sure. Definitely wouldn’t make sense if there was no redemption arc for Ellie. Would just lean even more into the “torture porn” criticism of TLOU2. Which I don’t necessarily agree with.

 

I am just very curious how Ellie will fight, given... you know.

Been watching Gen V and Lizzie Broadway is my dark horse pick for Abby. Even though the rumors say they already offered someone before the strikes.

 

So this popped up and came to post it, and I noticed those viewer anon tweets about the 3rd game have conveniently been deleted lol. So looking more like ND’s next game is new IP

 

I don't remember where the article was, but I also read something that strongly hinted that the TLOU2 remaster was a training exercise to get new hires on board and up to speed with their systems so they could start working on the new IP that is well under way.

I at this point may also just start getting used to TLOU joining the valve hall of fame games as peaking and ending at 2. - though without getting into it, Half life alyx is definitely half life 3, just renamed to avoid pissing off non VR gamers .

Either way, I believe all the reports that naughty dog is in a bit of disarray and spread extremely thin on multiple projects and medias so I will be patient for the new IP as well.

it's a shame as strong, single player only, narrative driven games are rare enough as is without the major studios slowing down.

 

Meh, not buying it honestly. Would be shocked if there isn’t a script, would actually be shocked if the game isn’t in full production given how nonexistent naughty dogs output has been this gen
