Not to be that guy but lots of shows now are much tamer than they were 10-15 years ago. I do agree that lots of stage divers dont know where to aim though, which can be problematic when a full grown person is hurling through the air at people who arent ready or arent able to catch them.

 

I don’t even know what it is but one of my friends is part of a hardcore crew based in like Southern California and it’s such a wild concept to me because when we were young all he wanted to do was crowd kill lol

Seriously, my closest friend back home in NY and I love sending live set videos back and forth from a myriad of bands citing how insanely cringe the mosh is nowadays, and how we would prefer to just stand in the back now because of the insane amount of stage diving. Like, it’s an obnoxious amount that takes away from the show.

I remember the first time feeling this way was years back when a video of VERSE’s live set on their last tour was posted and Sean Murphy couldn’t do his vocals or even move onstage because of a continuous never ending wave of kids terribly stage diving in a line like penguins jumping off an iceberg.

With Conservative Military Image. I'm fucking jealous.

 

Yeah, really like that band as well. I do feel a little uncomfortable with the name, which is probably a part of what they are going for. I am a sucker for oi influences done well.

 

From I've gathered, Conservative Military Image is a reference to the grooming and dress standards that's codified and expected of those in the Military. The vocalist is a vet so it makes sense. They've also played with SHARP bands before so I'm all for them if they're trying to reclaim the skinhead culture from the more modern far-right that has co-opted it.

 

I agree with that, the skinhead movement was basically stolen by the fascists so anyone who wants to reclaim and make it theirs is okay in my book

 

I love both those skinhead Eps

 

I also have a desire to go watch Green Room again
