Give the behind the scenes drama? I dunno. I think we lucked out with a decent film after all that.

Update after I started showing my girlfriend Star Wars for the first time... she loved them! We've watched the OT, PT and Rogue One now and she cried at the end of 6 lol. Could not have hoped for a better result

I guess at this point we will watch the ST just so she can say she's seen all of them but I'm trying to temper expectations

2/3 of the movies are good, and the new characters are fun

Despite TROS, Rey is a great character and Daisy Ridley is charismatic as fuck in 7 and 8. Kylo rules. Minus the whole saying one word after being redeemed, his story is the only one I think is good throughout the whole trilogy. The idea of Finn was great. But he needed to do more than yell “Rey” all the time. Certainly not Boyega’s fault. Thrown room scene rules. Luke rules in 8. Yoda rules in 8. BB-8 is awesome. Han is great in 7. The dichotomy of Rey and Kylo is cool in 7/8. The introductions to Rey, Finn, and Kylo are INCREDIBLE in 7. Rey in particular is probably one of my favorite character introductions. You learn so much and she doesn’t say a single word.

There is a lot to love in 7 and 8. Sadly, 9 does take a massive dump over the whole saga.

Yeah. 7 and 8 are great Star Wars and set up what could have been an awesome ending.

I still think about the boy with the broom at the end of 8 a lot, and what could have been.

I wish they could do a second attempt for episode IX, but that’s not gonna happen. Shame that the skywalker saga will forever end on that note.

Doesn't say how many episodes they're directing.

Cool. The more they do, the better. I’ll take them directing over bland ass Spider-Man director. I don’t even remember his name anymore. Obviously, he will still be involved, but it’s great to get some people with vision on this.

Anyone know where to find a list to find the main narrative episodes for the clone wars? I’ve never watched it and want to, but from what I’ve heard there are a bunch of episodes that are more like anthologies that are separate from the main story.

Ehh the series as a whole is kind of broken into arcs, and from memory, I don't think there's a clear story that goes through the whole series. More so small elements from different arcs, get picked up here and there in different arcs later down the line.
I feel like plenty of websites have compiled their "essential arcs" lists, but I feel like every list I've seen is missing an arc or two that I would've personally kept in.

And while some episodes wouldn’t be considered part of the “main” narrative… they may be really well done and worth watching. Or they set something up for Rebels and such.

So, it kind of depends exactly what you want and what you want to not bother with. There is a droid arc in s5 that you can safely skip. That’s all I can recall of the top of my head.

  20. Almost anything with jarjar is a skip I feel lol. But he goes away after season 1 for the most part I think

Oh boy.. reports are saying that Damon Lindelof left his movie slated for 2025 over a month ago. Star Wars theatrical truly is cursed.

To be fair, that was never officially announced by Lucasfilm.

I’m fine waiting a bit longer for the next theatrical star wars film. I want them to film like event films again so the space between the next film and episode IX can be a decade for all I care.
