I'm wondering if the things in parenthesis are transitions into the next song...i see "bridge tool(?)" in one of them

Between Mark's handwriting, and Travis's... It's a wonder anyone in this band can read any notes about anything. Does work well for being cryptic though!

I mean..the photo Travis posted was intentionally blurred and what we’re seeing here is an AI attempt to make it more legible. Not sure just how reflective of the handwriting it actually is, lol.

    This is fun!

I really hope we get to hear everything they've pulled together for this effort. Would hate to have only 12 songs make the cut and then the others get stuck on a hard drive forever

    House of Protect Ron.

Stoked to see a big list of songs. Also stoked that they are using the time they would be playing shows, prepping, etc to get this album over the finish line. A repurposed BCR song would be cool on this album, Hope Mark has a killer verse or bridge on it.

I've been going through the Blink discog recently since I may see one of the three area dates in May.

"Awesome Phil! What are your high level thoughts on each album?"

So happy you asked! Please see below:

CHESIRE CAT - Borderline unlistenable in terms of both recording quality and songs (seriously the "just about done with your butt" shit is so lame). The two diamonds in the rough ("M&M's" and "Carousel" obviously) showcase the potential
DUDE RANCH - I remember buying this in 1997 and loving "Damnit" and "Josie". I still think those are the strongest songs of the bunch but the rest of it is a well diversified set of skate-punk songs, though I still like the Mark songs more than the Tom songs
ENEMA OF THE STATE - Cool to hear a band lock in so well as they did on this album and a real testament to their quality control that this is truly all killer no filler
TAKE OF YOUR PANTS AND JACKET - Like a blockbuster sequel to a successful debut, they go bigger and better though it's interesting to note the darkness creeping in (Story Of A Lonely Guy, Stay Together For The Kids)
BLINK 182 - Still their best in my opinion and I remember what a jaw-dropping surprise it was hearing this in 2003 compared to what I had previously thought of them. I can't name any other shift in style that was so easily embraced by their fanbase
NEIGHBORHOODS - A long awaited darker follow-up to an already dark album (s/t). This period of Blink is really interesting to me as everyone was hoping they'd return to the happy-go-lucky sunny sound that everyone loved them for but that ignored the strifes and trauma all three members had been through
CALIFORNIA - Course correction and re-steering of the ship with a new member. If this had come out in 2011 with Tom they'd probably be playing stadiums at this point
NINE - Some cool ideas and it sounds like they allowed more of a Skiba influence which was cool but a lot of forgettable stuff on here as well.

Disagree with your take on Cheshire Cat - M&Ms and Carousel are good but I enjoy Wasting Time & Peggy Sue more at this point, possibly because Carousel is still in the live set.

Look, I know it's ridiculous, but 16 year old me and now 39 year old me still laughs at "I left a soil on the bus seat, I didn't know what to say!" from Depends. The delivery truly sells it. I either like humor that is high brow or the complete opposite. No in between for me, please. This example from Depends is certainly representative of the former. Kind of a New Yorker vibe, I suppose. Very intellectual; borderline stuffy.

I would easily take Cheshire Cat over their last 4 Albums.

I also might have soft spot for Buddha/Cheshire since I got into blink during the Dude Ranch era. Enema wasn't out yet so Buddha and Cheshire were the only options at the CD store after already owning Dude Ranch.

I remember like circa 95-96 they would play
M+Ms on 91x in San Diego and I recorded it off the radio on to a blank tape. I’ve got a lot of Nostalgia for that album.

Can't remember how that song even goes which speaks to how unmemorable/unlistenable the majority of the album is.
