I got mine from SharpTone at about 7 pacific time yesterday so they are getting some out at least.

Pretty enjoyable record. Someone said it earlier but man, these guys really never forgot how to write a chorus. I love the drum sounds on 2005

The aftergloop thing is fine, not the effect I would’ve gone with as it feels really abrupt, but that small break definitely deserves to be taken advantage of with some type of effect. It’s cool to hear little modern flourishes like that taken from bands like BMTH/Architects in the same way it was cool to hear them ride a bit of the 80s revival wave in places on Wolves

  5. Knives Out prechorus I almost expected Dan to do a Bert McCracken “get down!” lol

Can't help but think that this album would've been perfect for Phil :( So many moments where his voice would've shined.

I hope they put out a deluxe version with like 3/4 more songs. It’s too short imo with it being just around 30 min. All of their other albums are like 45 min plus

It's fine. I've never been a fan of Page Avenue so the songs that contain those vibes do nothing for me. It's not necessarily what I want from them (I'll remain the annoying fan still pining for more metal and punk influenced songs ala ITWOD and The Black Swan) but I'm happy they're still making music.

What is that vocal effect on Afterglow? Is that intentional?

Heh, welcome to the previous three pages.

I kind of understand why they did it, and I understand why people don't like it. I'm okay with it.

I agree. My biggest complaint with the album is every song feels so lean it’s like the band is rushing through them. The breakdown in “War” lasts for under five seconds. Let some songs breathe a bit!

I did not expect to revisit this as many times as I did this weekend. Wish they were on my Yellowcard date now

Skiing in Colorado and I had this blasting in my ears. It’s a total ripper for the first five tracks and it’s gonna be an amazing live show.

Knives Out should have been a single. That chorus is so damn good

The Black Swan and The Constant are by far my top two, the rest are at most half good but I will say on this record that half is really really good

Kinda suprised to be enjoying this as much as I am, immediate reaction is that it's their best since Black Swan

Not a criticism, but wild to see The Black Swan and In The Wake on opposite sides of the spectrum!

Ive always appreciated the variety in their style. In The Wake just never did it for me. Not to say I dislike it though.
