there is also a new quest that dropped today at reset. i'd heard rumors this character was returning and am happy to see they are true. i played the first 10min of the new mission so don't know where else they show up. loving everything outside the original story.

 

lmao that raid got ran through by the group that got world first. they were hours ahead of everyone else. nutty stuff

 

Yeah that was absolutely wild. I was watching datto and couldn’t believe when I saw a clear had happened while they were only at the 3rd encounter.

 

I’m just happy I don’t have to memorize 40 symbols this go around

 

This sounds disappointing :(

It reminds me of Wrath in just being a straight up action raid. Not every raid needs to be a “get your dick punched in with puzzles” for hours. Aesthetically it’s incredible too.

 

i havent run it yet but i've seen a lot of people say it's super fun and that's what i care about

 

got the day 1, we cleared in like 12ish hours. This is a pretty middling raid imo. Was hoping for something....more for the penultimate expansion. Also, the 3rd encounter is wildly out of place. The main raid mechanic is just the Spire dungeon mechanic but instead of wires it's connect the dots. Both bosses have small ass health pools and on normal the difficulty is a joke. Even on contest the ads were not bad at all and the tormentors were soooo underutilized. Two people can carry an entire team through the raid because you only need 2 people for the main mechanic and everyone else on ads/gaze.

I put 1000 hours in to Destiny when I had it on my PS3 and never really got into the second one. Picked it up a few weeks ago and damn is it good. The new guardian experience seems to be a lot better than it used to be. So many activities to do and catching up on everything is a blast. It's a shame to see this game's decline and everything going on with Bungie though :(

 

It’s definitely rough to hear, but I do think the game is in better shape now than it’s been in years.

 

Lightfall was a dumpsterfire in terms of the overall narrative. The seasonal beats have been really solid and and had some fantastic moments, the dungeons and exotic missions have been great. This current season has been good but we knew the outcome, plus Bungie accidentally spoiled it in week 5 lol. But yeah, if you've been gone for a bit there's probably so freaking much to do. Make sure to utilize fireteam finder- it's amazing.

I jumped back in last year after not playing since d2 launch and found it much much easier to get back into that it used to be

 

it's understandable. from a corporate level, they've made some shitty choices this year. but that doesn't mean that the people who work there dont massively care about their game. i've definitely scaled back on my playtime over the past few months but that's because i'm tired of grinding the same seasonal model and honestly i really enjoy the irritating grind that Genshin has lol so I'm definitely taking the "play when you want, then rest" approach. Not trying to overdo it. But when you check your expectations at the door and go in to just have fun, it is still really fun

 

Fireteam finder has seriously made such a big difference for me. Used to never do dungeons, now I’m out here running Warlords Ruin every week trying to get my exotic drop.

 

Who's ready for Into the Light tomorrow?? We are so back

Especially excited because I wasn’t really playing around end of year 1/Forsaken so I never did the Whisper mission, and never got a lot of these weapons the first time.

 

holy fucking fuck. this is it. end of the 10 year saga (not end of destiny) is going to be insane. light + dark subclasses, new enemies, new exotic class items, etc.

 

my god destiny is so back
