I instantly think less of any bands that willingly tour with Ronnie Radke. Aside from all the shit he has done over the years (sexual assault, being involved in a murder, etc.), as recent as last year he was being transphobic on TikTok and mocking peoples pronouns. In 2023, if you care about your LGBTQ+ fanbase, with anti-trans rhetoric/ legislation + laws being proposed all throughout the United States, there is no excuse to be touring with a man who does not believe trans people should exist.

A lot of people are commenting their disappointment on Underoath and Spiritbox's posts so maybe that will get them to reconsider.

 

I know we're not supposed to clown on a artist's music because it has nothing to do with the horrible shit they've done, but...come on lol

ronnie has done enough bad things we don’t need to misconstrue and say he went to prison for murder lol

 

post just said he was involved which, he was lol him and his boys started a fight with some other guys and someone died, he got charged and did time for a reason. still not even the worst thing he’s done though. fuck any band touring with them. fuck anyone praising anything about him. tons of musicians have been giving him props on twitter lately and it’s beyond brain dead.

yes, he was involved -- but post above called him a "literal murder," which is unnecessary bc as you've said he's done worse things than be around when someone was murdered. he didn't even go to prison directly from that, he got parole for having brass knuckles then broke one of the parole conditions and they chucked him into prison

but yes, then we can go into the rape accusations, various assaults, transphobia, etc and we're not being disingenuous lol

Radke has been trash for years on end and I truly don't understand how people can just choose to ignore the many, well-publicised reasons he's a piece of shit

 

If the music wasn't enough of an indicator, it's becoming more and more clear that Underoath care less about making good, interesting music and more about trying to make money...which, in a vacuum, I wouldn't mind, but willfully touring with Ronnie Radke is where I draw the line

 

really fucking disappointing, especially from a band whose vocalist just took digs at another band whose members have also been accused of SA at a festival they were also playing. idk what sorts of contractual obligations might be in play if some bands have less-power over who they decide to tour with, but on the off-chance that that scenario was applicable here, hopefully they could hop off.

if this truly was an intentional decision on their parts, fuck them.

Yea...I find the decision made by Underoath and Spirtbox to be pretty damn undefendable. No one can pull the, "well I didn't know," line when it comes to Radke.

 

The amount of youtube react vids the last month acting like this is the greatest thing in music history is depressing lol

 

Isn't Spiritbox the same band that got on stage and called out Dance Gavin Dance for continuing to keep Tilian around?
