The Used/PTV will do fine, probably better than Sad Summer ticket sales-wise.

    Press release also says this:

“Fans should also stay tuned for future tour date announcements in Washington, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Cleveland, Detroit, Milwaukee, St. Paul, Denver, Austin, Dallas and Houston.”

Logic wasn’t lying on This Past Weekend last week when he said his next tour he wanted to do theaters.

Think a lot of folks are just surprised to see bands that usually struggle to sell out 1500-2000 cap venues going for 7-8k cap, with no real uptick in popularity

    Which is certainly understandable lol

  7. Haha for sure. Here in Utah (their "hometown") this tour is coming to the same venue (2500 cap) The Used played in 2017 with Glassjaw, which is also the same venue they played at with Coheed 2 years ago. So if they're also playing 8k cap venues on this same tour, that's definitely a reason to raise an eyebrow, ha. Unless they're actually just playing the parking lot at those bigger places, haha.

    idk man

Outside Lands is doing a "Where's Waldo" style of revealing hints for their lineup. Some of the answers are The 1975, JID, Beabadoobee, Alvvays, Noah Kahan, Father John Misty, and Raveena

PTV/The Used tour is probably a skip for me unless I can find a cheap/free ticket. New PTV did very little for me and I’ve seen them a handful of times, and the openers do nothing for me so I’d really only be going for The Used.

We've gone over the artist monthly listeners to follower count ratio being a bit more true representation of their draw for shows, but what's wrong with spotify as a general gauge of popularity? It's always seemed right to me like when I see a line at the venue next door and go 'never heard of them'... oh wow, they're huge on spotify, makes sense now. Vice versa, ive been to some empty nights and seen empty lines and not been surprised that its a smaller band based on the playcount. I'm guessing the playlist algorithms and tie ins to tik tok and things over inflate too many artists that it shouldn't be trusted?

It's in Fairfield County which is probably the wealthiest area of the entire world so, yeah, can confirm (I also grew up there and this caters EXACTLY to the type of people who live there).

Agreed. Monthly listeners is a great representation because these are people actively choosing to engage with an act consistently over a month which likely would mean they would over-index on the likelihood to buy tickets to see them.

FUUUUUUUUUCK that. I don't have a car but, damn, might as well just hop on Metro North even if you live in the area.
