Hell yeah, great choice. @OhTheWater watch Pearl challenge (I have a spare digital code if you want it). Also, not Japanese horror, but I have The Wialing on my list as well. Two and a half hours though!

Personal Shopper was a weird one

 

Rewatching Nope and, uhhh, I was wrong This is definitely a horror film. It's a lot of other things, too, but it is unsettling at the least and terrifying at best. I like it more with each rewatch Get Out is so very special, but I now think this is Peele's best. I've literally never seen nighttime cinematography so good.

 

Not exactly horror but I love Spencer. KStew is so good in that and Personal Shopper. (Underwater was just okay)

Showed my friends The Babysitter, they had fun with it! but it mightve gotten a liiiittle too bloody for them here and there

 

Nope is so good at being so many different things, but because it's horror it gets overlooked at the Oscar's. As soon as Jordan Peele isn't talking directly about whiteness and racism they stop paying attention

 

Horror adjacent I guess? But The Witch: Subversion (on Amazon Prime) was sick.

 

Ghost Ship was the perfect slice of early 00’s cheese I needed for this saturday morning. Opening scene and flashback montage both were legitimately great. Kinda hated the big reveal though and it reminded me a lot (in a much more subtle way) of the big twist in ISKWYDLS. Also Mudvayne popping up in multiple parts was totally expected and perfect for 02

 

I know I've seen Ghost Ship, probably more than once and I still remember nothing about it apart from that absolute banger of an opening scene

 

Let’s not forget that Mudvayne ending.
