Is this a general statement or do you know a thing or two?

 

I understand demand for this has increased since they stopped touring, but The Hotelier was one of the weirdest and most unfun sets I’ve ever seen.

caught them back in 2015 at my city’s 250 cap diy space. They sounded amazing- almost exactly like on the record.

but then a push pit opened up and like one or two people stage dove (it was very tame and no one seemed uncomfortable with any of it) and the singer stopped everything to chastise the crowd and told everyone to just “stand there and enjoy the music”. The set was tense from that moment on.

I had brought money to buy Home Like Noplace Is There on vinyl after the show but was so put off by the singer I got a Roswell Kid record instead.

 

I mean, it might have just been a situation where the vibe wasn't right and it didn't seem safe. If you watch the video of their set in Boston at the end of 2021, people were going wild for the most part and it was perfectly fine.

 

Also people can change views on things in 6 years. Who knows.

I know about a fall co-headliner with a band that blew up around the same time as them. People are going to be stoked

“New Found Glory/Something Corporate” is very different than “I read something about a possible New Found Glory/Something Corporate co-headliner” or “It would be cool if NFG and SoCo toured together.”
