One time me and, a now, ex walked back to my car at like 2am in the dead of winter from a bar to find a drunk rando passed out in my car with the heat blasted and my ex’s Gavin Degraw album blasting through the stereo all while wearing my winter jacket I left in the car.

We approached the car wondering why car was on as I had my keys in my hand. Turned out we had the same car and his key worked for my car. His car was in the same lot. I woke him up and he calmly said “fuck, I’m sorry bro. I thought this was my car.”. Then he took my jacket off and his key out of the ignition and walked to his car.

my ex just had a look of amazement on her face.

We were completely sober and just left our friends. Later, nobody believed us. So, I’m happy we will always have that insane moment to share.

 

Well, first, the used is very bad

 

Yeah, that act is pure nostalgia for me now. The preferable time to see them live for me would've been 2002-2004, and I wouldn't have paid for a ticket after 2008 or so. Jeph's bass skills are still incredible though.

 

That last Used album is actually really good. Travis and Mark are on a couple tracks too.

The Travis one could legitimately fit on ILAD

 

Last time I saw The Used was in 2018 at Warped Tour. Was pretty shocked how good they sounded even if Bert wasn’t screaming.

Time before that was 2009/10 during Artwork era (underrated album). Then before that it was Dec 2004!

damn, now I gotta listen to Shallow Believer, which I find to be better than Lies For The Liars as a whole.

 

Shallow Believer is easily better than LFTL

 

I’ve only seen The Used once, back in 2007 when they headlined Taste of Chaos a few months before Lies for the Liars came out and they blew me away that night. Their energy and stage presence were top notch, and they sounded fucking great. Set was a lot of fun. Would like to see them again sometime

Agreed that Shallow Believer was much better. I always wondered if that album would've been more positively received if they'd swapped out some of the album tracks with those and resequenced it. I don't know how they listened back to the album tracks and decided to keep the stuff on Shallow Believer as b-sides. Artwork was good too. After that is when new releases of theirs fell off the map for me. Since then, I've only listened to a few newer tracks here and there. Sounds like I'll have to check out the newest one.

 

LFTL was a bad album. Artwork was really good. I stopped listening to them after that though. Can’t count how many times I saw them during the S/T and ILAD era. 10+ probably.

 

Pain is a solid track.

I always feel uneasy when there's rumours of cancelled shows (without context) and vague tweets, etc. Tom hasn't posted anything Blink related in a while by his recent standards.

I've been heartbroken by this band too many times.

The idea of blink reforming just to release one song and then bouncing again is so funny to me
just gotta' keep edging until the next comeback in 10 years, I suppose..

 

They all posted about WWWY having a second date announced. That was just a few days ago. Im sure all is fine.

 

Wait I’m confused. Did blink officially back out of the Brazil show? Has it been confirmed by the band?

 

Nothing has been confirmed. There was one rumour and Mark wipes his Twitter account. They all still follow each other and have been posting about upcoming show as of last week.

 

People need to relax then haha.
