A venue in my city posted this. Trying to convince myself how it could be Weezer lol

The first two emojis are Island in the Sun. And the hands with the girls I guess is Thank God for Girls.

It seems the third emoji is Wheeze

The only thing I could get from that is Island In The Sun. Everything else? Beats me lol

EDIT: I think the CD could also mean “Records”

  7. last emoji could be "Buddy Holly"

  8. wait. what if it means...

"island in the sun" and "sweater song" as in green album and blue album, and then the CD indicates they're full album playthroughs, and then the prayer hands with the 2 girls indicates each city gets a different album so you have to pray your city gets the album you want, and then the last emoji just means Weezer...

They should walk out to blackout stage and then a backdrop monitor shuffles through solid blue and solid green until it randomly stops on one color and then they start their set with the respective album. Album of the night is a mystery to everyone involved until showtime.

  11. if both albums were equally loved by the general Weezer fanbase, that would be fun as shit. but i'd be so bummed if it landed on Green... hahaha

yup. none of the speculated bands thus far are anywhere close.

it seems they are doing a literal "indie rock" pandering tour with varying lineups. some bigger names but not co-headliners.

Feels like we've been waiting an eternity for these weezer dates

  17. I just want to know who the openers are so that helps me determine if I’d even want to see them or not. I’ve seen them once and I feel good about that. But if there’s another band I really want to see, I’d make it happen.

Out of the 9 times I’ve seen Weezer over the last 20-something years, I think there have only been 2 cases where I cared/was excited about the other bands (including Hella Mega).

The Blue Album is literally my favorite album of all time. If I went to one of those shows and they played Green, I’d angry cry

I remember in like 2001 the opening band was this new hard rock band called Cold and they got booed so much during the first half of the tour they dropped off..quick google search Iced Out By Weezer Fans, Cold Go Their Own Way
