So I’m working on something for my job to do with grass roots football, and trying to find new ways for potentially hundreds of grass roots clubs to find new revenue streams. We’ve done two pilot tests and the clubs genuinely feel transformed into a hub of their community.

On it’s own, it will be quite minor, but there’s a lot of things in the works aiming to make lower league clubs sustainable. Gives me hope for the lower leagues.

For context, I am also anti-MLS coming to Detroit or Detroit City FC joining MLS but that is a longer conversation to have.

I really do hate the USSF and the real estate ponzi scheme that is the MLS is just another log on the fire of that hatred. Just gobbling up cities with teams that have a long history of grassroot, supporter led growth and making them blip out of existence like Thanos.

I don't quite know how such a legend, great (whatever you want to call him) of a manager has one of the worst substitution patterns/tactics of all time. It's infuriating today as it was his first season.

I think its a little of this and maybe of managing fitness/schedule layout?

Fitness/schedule comes in when you look at the schedule and its layout to the March international break. There is a distinct clump of matches we are in running from, 2/12-3/4 (7 matches) and then 3/11-3/19 (3 matches). That 3 match grouping is when the second leg is, its the second match of that group, and there is a 5 day gap to the last match. That's just me trying to use my Football Manager logic in real life lol.
