For sure. Just wrote an article that's an intro to Foxy, should be posted next week. I feel like they might be back someday.

 

Oh man I didn't even consider translucent materials. I bet they could do it. 3D printing is pure magic.

Me either! I guess these guys have a lab at the university that's paid for, so you can go in and get things made for free. They even have people that will design the object for you.

 

Who do you write for?

Depending on Eric's next year, I'd say there is a chance. He's still buzzing on "Downtown."

 

I'm at work for the next 7 hours, but that's okay. I can study while I'm here and the other worker can handle all the employees ^_^

 

What do you do?

 

Its called THE Odyssey. Pretty easy, 500 words a week. It's kind a perverse creative exercise to make myself write consistently. Some weeks are...better than others.

Yeah, the YouTube comments are filled with people that say they found "Holy Touch," because of "Downtown."

 

Printing stuff. Work there about 35 hrs a week and taking 20 credit hours haha.

 

busy busy! i really don't miss working weekends.

 

Have to work 3-close tonight and if it's anything like last night we'll be busy as shit. Had nearly 200 reservations. This is gonna be a drag.

So my one of my roomies is an artist and she just got a comment on a piece she posted on Instagram from Kevin Lyttle that says "appreciate you"

There's always been something glamorous to me about working at a fancy restaurant. I think if I did it I might hate it though.

 

Yeah I thought it would be more glamorous as well. It's definitely not. I imagined creating/plating all these intricate and fancy desserts, but it's basically no different than like a Cheesecake Factory.

Do you make desserts though?

 

No, the pastry chef handles all of that. She needed extra help during the holiday season so I have made them before. That was so much more chill. Just rolled in at whatever time in the morning, was just me and her for the most part so we had a lot of space and didn't have to worry about sharing kitchen supplies or bumping into other people, could play music, etc.

 

oh man that sounds like it would be fun.

 

For those that miss Foxy (like me), you might like The Skulx, it's got Alex from Foxy and Mat and Lex from Cadaver Dogs. Just put out a great record. I do think Foxy will be back someday, but I also hope Eric has a great solo career, Downtown's success is such a great platform.

 

I didn't realize the Skulx had released their album already, I'll give it a listen.

 

Also, can we talk about how Gonzo could be better with a more energetic drum performance? Clearly, the man is solid, but there's nothing very inventive happening there.

And did we ever figure out why the bassist and guitarist switched instruments?

Omg. My rm had to go 4+ hours away suddenly cause of a fam emergency and prob won't be back until the evening or tomorrow. I'm here with the 4 dogs and idek what to do. They won't stop howling. Idek how to take them out to the bathroom cause idk if her parents dogs are runners and I'm looking for a leash and I know nothing about dogs

 

oh man that's really awful. if you're not really a dog person/haven't agreed to be their caretaker, she really should have other arrangements set up for stuff like this, emergency or not.
