If it was a Cody vs Roman v Sami match, they'd surely all be cornering for people. And involved in the build up to it.

But, the story really pays off with Sami/KO being tag champs...in a way, its KO's fault that Sami is even where he is, he turned heel to save him from Shane like, 4 years ago? So KO saving him from the path he started him down pays off an even longer arc. And The Usos losing their belts...either pissing off Roman into snapping on them or them walking because they always have to pull double duty...gives the Bloodline melt down the full arc it needs.

Cody said it perfectly in the promo; Sami created the cracks, and Cody's gonna be the guy to break the dam

 

Didnt they get rid of rematch clauses?

I badly want Sami to win, but, I think Sami losing in Montreal but reuniting with KO is still a huge payoff...and the payoff over the next year can be Cody being THE top guy, and there's still room for Sami to become champion in the future if they want. I mean, no reason the WM40 main event cant be Sami v KO

 

I really don't see Sami in the title picture at WM. It's gonna shift from Roman/Sami to Sami/Jey at the end of EC I'm pretty sure

 

If paying off Sami as champion doesn't happen between now and April, I don't ever see it happening. Which isn't to say this story can't be gratifying without winning the belt, but he'll never be hotter than he is right now - so if not know, I don't think they'll ever put the strap on him.

 

Sadly, I don't think Sami gets the title because of fucking blood money shows. Saudi wants the champ there and Sami, rightfully so, ain't going anywhere near there.

 

Even more reasons why they need to split the belts. Provides so much more PLE booking options should your champion be unavailable through injury or morals.

True, I hated it for ages. But if you're content with a part time champ, it starts to necessitate it. At least they seem to be doing better with their midcard titles than they were under Vince - or maybe that's entirely due to the awesomeness of Gunther.

 

Watching the finish to Corbin/Cody, man, the "Whoa oooh" part of Cody's music is getting to "Burn It Down" levels of crowd singing

 

Somewhat related it’s wild that WWE was able to create a new banger of a theme for Seth - the OG was so fucking good

 

I remember when I came back to main roster stuff last year and thinking “what the fuck is that??” at his music. Now done a 180 and think it may be better than his previous? Definitely suits this Seth more.

 

Also Seth wearing the Astro boy boots is the only time someone is allowed to wear those fucking monstrosities! They’re fucking awful, but knowing he’s constantly trying his best to look ridiculous makes them perfect for him.

Now is sneaker accounts on IG would shut the fuck up about them, I’ll be happy.

 

Also HOLY FUCK SAMI AND CODY. Was watching it at work and nearly tearing up. So so good.

Tag Titles

 

I don't think it'll happen since Bianca's facing the Chamber winner at Mania & I can't see anybody other than Asuka winning that. They're hinting at a Shayna/Ronda/Natalya feud, though.

 

Tag titles makes sense. Wouldn't hate to see Shayna with a belt again

 

I was hoping they were gonna keep Ronda and Shayna together over the past month or so with Ronda being shittier and shittier to Shayna, ending with Shayna finally attacking her and having a blow off at Mania. Not happening now, but would have been cool.
