It's my number two. If it was a little more concise, it probably would have been my number one. I just struggle with double albums. There's nothing inherently wrong with them, but my listening habits are much more aligned with albums in the 30-45 minute range. Even though the second half of the album has some incredible songs, I always feel the length around Wake Me Up to Drive.

def my favorite of the year, and it’s a toss-up between it and UFOF for my fav by the band.

Is anyone surprised that the most critically acclaimed band of their generation is once again receiving critical acclaim? Lol

That's dope. I've thought about reaching out to some artists in the hopes of having them Zoom in to my pop culture class. I know Frances from Hop Along spoke at my old high school a couple years back.

My kids will have absolutely no interest in Big Thief, haha, but I should probably not pass up the opportunity.

They’re about to announce another tour, dates with Nick Halim and Lucinda Williams. The latter they are co-headlining Red Rocks (!!!) with.

Tour starts today. Very curious if Twain will join them on stage with Noah to fill out the country version of the band

Currently seeing them at the Ryman. Twain just opened the show, been wanting to see him for years and him being here was a complete surprise for me. Great way to start the night!

Very jealous of that. Do you remember what he played?

He has come out on stage one or two nights to play fiddle on a few songs

also Red Moon, Spud Infinity, and Blue Lightning but his part is a bit more drowned out in those

my partner and i kept joking about what a power move it was that mat kept his hood up pretty much the whole time. he's got such a cool voice, even in a room like franklin music hall that fucking sucks

I don’t remember exactly, he only got about 30 minutes, and played maybe 6 songs, but I only specifically remember Solar Pilgrim. He also sang back up and played 12 string and lap steel for Buck’s entire set. Then came out and played fiddle and sang for about half of Big Thief’s set.

Nice, that song was my intro to his music. Sound like he had a really busy night haha. I'm kind of surprised they didn't ask him to do a solo set for the entire tour

Here's another new song that I don't think has been posted in this thread yet. They first played it on the Japan tour.

Also, for anyone not in the solo threads, new Buck album in August and new Adrianne album most likely in the fall. It's feeling less and less like they're going to release the remainder of the Dragon sessions this year

Another newish one, called "Ruined". She played it solo in 2019 but they only just started playing it full band
