To double down on this, the greatest stories are in some ways mad-libs...the right pieces just come together. Like, imagine even 3-4 years ago saying "the greatest story of the last decade might be currently experiencing a week where Paul Heyman, the consigliere for Roman Reigns, is trying to get Cody Rhodes to doubt his own father, and at the same time, trying to convince himself that Sami Zayn isnt a threat to Romans titles, as they walk into Montreal". Every piece of that feels crazy, for so, so many reasons.

Or 3-4 years ago, saying "that guy you know as at best 8th most interesting member of The Bullet Club will have a 2 year story arc that pays off in a way where you are GLAD an entirely new wrestling company that employs Dean Ambrose, Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, CM Punk, and a host of the greatest indie wrestlers is giving him the belt because he's earned it"

Oddly enough this might be the perfect use of The Acclaimed. Like, the way the Gunns got heat was cutting off their rap....Acclaimed can get a babyface pop by doing a "maybe we shouldnt rap" thing for a few weeks and refinding their groove at the PPV to freshen things up.

If they want to go full carney, then its Daddy Ass that teaches them how to rap again

NXT also made an active effort to remake itself. Like, AEW's equivalent would have been, the Bucks/Kenny get hurt in real life, by the time they come back, 90% of the talent that worked All In has been fired...the Jaguars are holding open tryouts for both NFL players and wrestlers at the same time...and their time slot/channel changes.

Whatever happened to Paige Van Zant becoming a wrestler? I know they dropped that whole angle but I thought she was gonna do it

She bailed while training with Gangrel. I think she’s just focused on her Onlyfans.

Whichever company gets Jay White is extremely lucky. Dude is one of the best heels in wrestling, and absolutely incredible in ring.

Jay in AEW would rule, would easily slot into the #1 heel role. If he goes to WWE, he would too. Dude is a star

I wish I could make money so “easily”. I say that relatively because I know they gotta constantly be making content and promoting to stay fresh

  19. I can definitely see HHH trying to slot Jay into the role Orton spent a large majority of his career playing.

Since it seems like Ortons future is really up in the air due to his injury.

White would be a perfect modern HHH honestly

I can see that. Jay is a really versatile worker and can be slotted in and between the midcard and main event scenes as needed.

This is why I think WWE makes so much sense for him. AEW already has 3-4 natural top heels (and thats working with Danielson and Mox as faces, when they too could easily be heels)...WWE has a bigger gap, especially once Roman finally loses.

Its very easy to see Jay White debuting the RAW after WM and being Codys title feud heading into Summerslam. Or being the guy who takes the belt from him.

He'd also be the first top guy level signing that's 100% HHH I think? Like ignoring NXT rehires

I was gonna say Dragon Lee, but he’s not a top level signing. He is a signing you wouldn’t have expected to sign if Vince was still there, though.
