if anyone is in MI and considering attending the DRUGS show, my friend’s band is selling fee exclusion tickets for the show. feel free to contact me for more details, i guess it’s gonna be one of those ~pike room + crofoot~ combined shows with local bands playing upstairs, etc.

This. My favorite venues are ones with preassigned balcony seating. Standing for 4-5 hours in my mid 30’s is hell. If a show doesn’t have seating I’m probably showing up as late as possible. Luckily most bigger venues in Portland have balconies.

Went in Orlando last week and probably 150 people total? 1/3 left after varials imo but it was hard to tell since the whole varials floor was a pit whereas the Drugs crowd did not have one single ounce of movement the whole night except for the three dudes who opened a pit to the Chiodos cover

Seeing these people on TikTok flexing over getting $5k Beyoncé tickets using Klarna has me feeling depressed.

Are kids really going $5k in debt and getting on a 3yr payment plan to pay off a concert ticket? Seems totally normal.

Gotta love festivals. Got to see Beyoncé from essentially a pit ticket view at Coachella, a festival I was already going to, for 10% the cost of her solo show

  10. Hmm I thought that post said "West" on it. Did they mean "someplace just west of New York"? Bummed no Utah... or anywhere on the WEST side of the country.

Yeah it’s kinda misleading. Although HH and AFS already toured the west coast together last year

yes. i know someone who opened up a capital one credit card specifically for taylor swift tix.

this person was already in credit card debt thousands upon thousands of dollars, and wanted a capital one credit card for the extra pre sale code.

they wound up getting tickets to opening night (in arizona, we are in *ohio*) and a few other dates. so, now gotta buy plane tickets, hotel, etc.

    people really do this stuff

I remember talking with some fans at FOB and TOP shows who were following the tour, going as many dates as they could. At first I thought they were mega rich, but now I start to think they were going in debt for it. Yikes.

yeah it’s crazy stuff. i don’t mind ppl going to as many shows as possible and honestly it’s cool if you can do it. but i *do* think opening credit cards and going into debt is objectively silly no matter the artist

This line-up is truly wild for anybody into 90s style pop-punk. The Steinways, the Ergs!, Short Attention, Fake Boys, CBGAV, Dirt Bike Annie, the Headies, Fake Boys, Heavy Lag, and TV Cop are all straight killers.

I'm also getting a pang of nostalgia looking at this poster because I saw Dirt Bike Annie once in like, 1999 at the only house show I ever went to. Hah.

Does anyone knows if MCR will tour this year? I know they have shows in Australia and Japan in March, but Im kinda surprised they havent announced more shows yet.

I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen an honest, transparent announcement about a show cancellation due to ticket sales

1000 in a 6000 cap venue sounds great if you’re claustrophobic.

That tour is with Bad Religion, 1000 tickets sold seems low for both bands. Damn :(
