Just found out about this right now. Holy shit, I'm stoked! I dug those demos hard during quarantine

Just came by to say I wish I had heard about them earlier (only discovered them last week). It'd been a good while since I discovered a band and listened to their record more than 5 times in the same day. Definitely messes with my album of the year list.

 

yeah this shot straight up to my top five haha. the short runtime gives it so much replay value

 

Glad people are digging this record.

 

Like this a fair bit but wish the guy sang less. Him being the majority of the last three songs really killed the back half of the album for me. Hopefully his parts will grow on me, I really like when they have parts together but when it's just him it loses me a bit.

 

She definitely has the better/more interesting voice but I really like how their voices bounce off of eachother over the entire record. Kinda love how even though they have a male/female vocal dynamic it's him singing the Bjork cover lol

 

Foreign is the best song on it to me so I will have to not agree with that opinion.

But everything @atlas said is my thoughts as well.

 

Foreign might be my favourite too if she sang more of it. I can't help but think about how much better Enjoy would be with her singing too.

Him screaming over her singing is one of the best parts of the album though and I wish they used that more. I like him a lot more as an accompaniment to her than by himself.

 

I've liked Vein for a while but finally got around to checking out this, how on earth did they do a cover of one of my favorite Bjork songs

 

recently discover this, it rules but strongly agree that the dude's vocals are pretty boring and the band really shines with the other vocalist

 

Kiss the Ladder has the most replay value of any song < 1:30 long that I've maybe ever heard

 

This is an all-timer album

 

is anthony in this band? havent listened yet

well Marisa isn't in Vein for one thing, and also I can't find it but there's some magazine interview out there where Anthony basically just says it's an outlet for them to explore sounds that don't fit for Vein lol

 

Album is dummy good, top five of the year

 

Nice, been waiting patiently for her to put out some more solo stuff
