I’ll say this- the young hardcore bands on this lineup unironically go hard. I doubt it was John, but someone on his team is very aware of what’s big in the hxc community.

the problem is no one’s paying $300+ to see those bands when they all play the tri state area 3 times a year and when every hardcore-specific fest has them on the bill for a third of the Bamboozle price

 

and not just like a bunch, like the big names. Trippie, Boogie, Palisades final show ever, Ice Spice, the mystery album play and a bunch of others. Ten in total, just gone no announcement

 

Imagine "building a scene" and this was the bands you're choosing to surround yourself with. Multiple sexual predators, a slut-shaming goofball rap-metal band, the Warped Tour B-team, etc.

And most of the newer acts that I've listened to kinda strike me as the kind of artists who will be playing a completely different style/genre of music in like, another album cycle or two.

 

Y’all remember when he teased a “pop punk band from Philly” and everyone thought it was a Mobo reunion?? That was fun

It being Valencia makes the way he was hyping them up in that video (while simultaneously talking shit on them) even funnier. He thought they were going to be a massive draw that people would go apeshit for. LOL

 

Someone really needs to put together a spreadsheet of all the lies he's told in the last year. I think the top ones are definitely that 1) there will be three stadium level artists, 2) there will be 9 headliners and 3) there are 6 big scene reunions.

 

Don’t forget the entire venue walkthrough video at that racetrack where he was describing exactly where everything would be only to not use that venue

Okay, so if that happens here are some of my proposed stage line-ups and designations:

Deftones with Turnstile, PVRIS, Quicksand, Snapcase, and Drug Church
Paramore with Jimmy Eat World, Ke$ha, Bartees Strange, and Illuminati Hotties
Less Than Jake with the Bouncing Souls, MxPx, Samiam, and Bad Cop/Bad Cop

 

So basically at this point not only did artists originally announced cancel but also now the artists yet to be announced aren't even being added?

 

Yup, that's the speculation. I'm still standing by there being a chance the blurred out artists were just removed from the poster for visual reasons and may be added at a later date (though there's a big emphasis on "may," there).

But Joeybadass and Palisades both dropped for sure.

 

I’m not kidding or Shitposting or anything, I legitimately believe that if everyone in this thread got together and discussed everything (logistics, lineup, etc.), we could put on a very fun music festival, dare I say better than Bamboozle
