I’ve got Peacock, so that seems to have me set for Premier League, yeah?

Don't start playing the game Football Manager unless you want to add a new addiction to your life. Though if you are new to the game that is probably good for a little while as you get used to the tactics.

It's a solid deal if you do the bundle with Disney+ and Hulu as well.

One thing we haven’t mentioned is that you’ll probably have supporters clubs or football/soccer based bars near you, depending on if you live in a city. People there will have also done the same thing as you and will support all sorts of teams.

I was under the impression that Miguel is quite well regarded as a journalist?

He works for a well regarded paper but I think he's been caught bluffing before. I might be getting confused!

I find that stuff hard to judge. I tend to think they are often at the whim of the information they are fed. People feed sports journalists crap intel all the time, usually to distract or for more negotiation power.

Obviously it’s up to them to decide how to proceed and check any info, but I get why modern journalism doesn’t exactly help that stuff.

Charlie Watts can piss off though. More chance of a correct story from just guessing.

  12. Fab, Ornstein, Gold, O’Keefe are the four I trust for Spurs news whenever they report something. Not saying that others aren’t trustworthy but those guys are consistently right at least.

There should be a transfer window for lawyers just to fuck City right over lol

Let's get these people moving faster!

I've long wondered if the reason the new Newcastle owners have been so diligent about FFP despite many fans' encouragement that it was all BS is because they knew results from some investigations were coming down the pipe against other clubs. The FA and PL have done sweet eff all to punish anyone but the clubs going bankrupt, and this is the opportunity to finally throw the book at a club and make an example.

  16. Would be very cool if Wrexham won today and hosted Spurs next round

Sheffield United just bottled the biggest 2 on 0 breakaway all the way from the halfway line

There is a whitepaper coming at some point from the UK government that will support the creation of an independent regulator, though that did just get delayed. Though the conspiracy minded folk are saying that the release of this City investigation is an attempt by the Premier League to thwart that.

sheffield missed another huge chance a few minutes later due to a great save by the keeper. Wrexham stays alive!

Seeing the Sheffield high (low?) lights reminds me that there should be a cap on the number of red and white striped clubs permitted in the PL at a time. Is my Newcastle bias against Sunderland showing? Maybe.

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

Newcastle would have an easier time getting big bucks to appear more legit. Pretty sure they were a bigger club than City in 2008

I think only the English amongst us will appreciate this cause it's a Happy Valley reference but Corberan signed a new deal with West Brom in the wake of interest from Leeds.

Yeah, Newcastle have been surprisingly sensible. They've spent, for sure, but not to such a degree that it's changed the landscape or whatever.

And like was mentioned above, they've a huge club, and have more capacity to spend initially than City did back in '08. Which sort of makes it even weirder. I wonder if, assuming they do it, getting CL football this season might see them step it up signicantly.
