Jack Antonoff has won the 2023 Grammy for producer of the year:

His production credits within the eligibility window were for Florence and the Machine’s Dance Fever, the soundtrack to Minions: The Rise of Gru, Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version) (From the Vault),” Diana Ross’ “I Still Believe,” and the 1975’s “Part of the Band.” His records with Lorde and St. Vincent qualified last year, while his work on Taylor Swift’s Midnights and the 1975’s Being Funny in a Foreign Language are eligible next year.

Thats actually what I think about when I hear his name. Same thing with Nate Ruess, I’m like you mean the guy from the Format?

Be excellent to each other! Supporter

Midnights and BFIAFL being eligible next year has to mean he's a shoe in for a repeat, no?

It’s always stuck with me that Jack had a no motiv sticker in his bedroom, the same room that he toured around the country. For someone who now works with the biggest artists to know such a niche Oxnard punk band just makes me happy.

It’s similar to how anytime I hear about Harry Styles I think about how his first concert was The Rocket Summer. Kind of breaks my brain a little.

I just saw that they played a one-off opening for Saves The Day last year. Still bums me out that their 20th anniversary shows in support of Sadness never happened.

It’s really a shame the way things went down with Fun. Imagine what he could do today with that band.

Much prefer what he’s doing with Bleachers over anything he could be doing with fun. I’m not sure if that’s a popular opinion, but I wouldn’t trade Bleachers for anything

    I second this.

Not sure I’d want anything from fun., Nate Reuss just seems like a bitter asshole.

I don’t think I implied one would have to stop existing for the other to make music.

    D'oh! Prestigious

Love that! Could be cool if Harry took Bryce on tour right now - I think it could be a nice fit for a support from TRS.

And Jack deserves the award in my opinion, so much good work!
