If China’s best and brightest in leadership are thinking this way then I don’t think we need to feel threatened by China tbh.

 

The idea that if there was a literal Chinese Spy Balloon in American airspace that was trying to gather intel on ICBM launch sites or something...I mean first of all I feel like there are better ways to spy. Like we had U2s in the 60s. There are satellites in space. But assuming it was happening, the idea that Biden wouldn't want to shoot it down, or like, even if he didn't that he would be able to resist all of the institutional military voices telling him to do it...hard to believe for me

The discourse around the balloon is just sooooooooooo disingenuous from the right. Do you really think that if there was a spy balloon over America we wouldn't have noticed it until it's over fucking Montana? Having needed to pass through at least 2 other states before it??
