Turning platinum? What does that mean? *actually asking*. Are these tickets that are being re-sold?

Man if shows at the club level start using dynamic pricing I feel bad for people that live in markets dominated by Live Nation. Shows that will sell out quick are going to be stupid expensive. I feel pretty lucky that the NW doesn’t use LN except bigger amphitheaters/arenas.

Yeah I noticed the same in Toronto. Amex presale added a bunch more tickets that weren't available during the mailing list sale a couple hours earlier.

The fucked thing in all of this is that it hurts the smaller artists too. Purely anecdotal, but the number of people I know who are choosing to see one or two arena/stadium shows this year and cut smaller shows out of their personal budgets... Is alarming.

Platinum/Dynamic are essentially the same thing. Dynamic is the process that allows tickets to reach the platinum status. Once again for those of you in the back (in case there is any confusion): ACTS OPT INTO DYNAMIC PRICING AND RECEIVE A CUT (MOST LIKELY THE MAJORITY) OF THE UPCHARGE. lawn for fall out boy cinci is already gone from the presale, everything else is $300+. This is insanity lmfao

 

Another gripe (sorry). I was able to get $40 lawn spots for FOB right at the start of presale. After reading some of your experiences, I checked back, and the same presale code gave me $60 lawn seats. Not dynamic or platinum pricing. The same happened with the Lil Wayne presale. Started with $80 floor then jumped to $120 floor after selling out that allotment. Super annoying

Forever glad I spent every waking moment of my adolescence going to as many shows as possible because this shit is insane. I really don’t get how “normal” people are suppose to go to these larger tours.

I know hardcore kids love to clown on Bane’s “enteral farewell tour” but as someone who jus barely missed out on it, this would be one show I’d happily pay an arm and a leg for.
