Any chance the wall flag that was in the pre-order bundles will be sold separately or on this tour? Would love that for my wall.

  2. this band's second run was just incredible. I'll miss them

couldn't agree more, this new record is fantastic and an excellent way to say goodbye to a great career. I am really happy that the last 4 records exist alongside the first 4. 8 really solid full lengths what a career. Not to mention the incredibly underrated underdog ep that I still spin from time to time.

  4. "A Place We Set Afire" reminds me of "Be the Young," has anyone said that yet?

  5. I only listened to "The Hurt Is Gone" once or twice before release, now it's shaking out to maybe be my favorite in context.

thats how I felt as well, I thought it was okay as a single but then after hearing it in context it worked really well

  7. it was a weird choice to release as a single. second or third track or maybe "Empty Street" would have made more sense, but I get that maybe they wanted to put out something a little different for them.

The Hurt Is Gone is definitely one I haven't latched onto as much, I think it's great but not on the same level as other stuff here

Agreed. I actually think like the song less in the context of the album. I think it's still a really good song, but the rest of the album is just so fantastic that it seems weaker, in my opinion.

I'd agree with that, however I do really appreciate how different a song it is for them

I agree with you. I wouldn't call it my favorite, but hearing it in context makes it so much more enjoyable to listen to. Because hearing it originally as a single, was just kind of "okay" to me.

  13. MSK is my low key favorite on Lift A Sail. notice that one stuck in my head a lot walking around during rainy days

The title track is still my favorite, but MSK might be next

After having a few days and multiple listens I can say this is a top 3 Yellowcard record for me. It's sad that this is their last record as it's very clear to me that these guys are still capable of making really good music. I really enjoyed the production on this album and I think the guitar work was really really strong. So many good riffs. Thank you Yellowcard.

I think their second run is absolutely stronger than the first one. Off the top of my head, I can't say the same about any other band in this scene. Impressive. Yellowcard just got better and better.

I'm not as gushy over this as most of you seem to be. I think about half of it is pretty strong, especially the last 3 tracks, but it pales in comparison to both southern air and lift a sail.

I think that's sort of what his Will and the Whiskeymen project will be. He's done songs like this before, and it seems like the direction things are headed from my point of view.

Drove from Nashville to Memphis and back yesterday and blasted this song loudly a few times... really good.

Also, I can't believe they are yet again missing Nashville on a tour. I've been here 3+ years and half of the band lives here! Too bad. Flying home to see them in SLC one last time, which should be incredible.

After repeat listens, I think my favorites are still "Got Yours" and "I'm a Wrecking Ball". I feel like those are the least mentioned here. "What Appears" and "Fields & Fences" are close behind though. Not a weak track out of the bunch.

    What has love become?

Empty Street was a song I waited 7 years to get an actual release. It is more than enough of a perfect goodbye. The final album itself is just a bonus. I am blown away by it more everyday.
