Was listening to this on my drive to work and it definitely sounds awesome. I feel when I have time it'd be fun to listen to the old and new versions back to back and hear the differences.

Yep, this fucking rips. I wish Dustin's vocals were a tiny bit higher in the mix, but that's such a minor, minor thing to me. I'll probably be listening to this on a loop for most of the day.

As someone who no longer has Twitter, I'd appreciate a tag if there's a vinyl drop today.

I was skeptical because of how much I love TAITA (my favorite Thrice album) but this is sick

I'm not going to be able to listen until later today, but I'm gonna order a vinyl copy when it goes on sale anyway because I trust that the goats will stay goats

This is so good! They def went with a “live recording“ sound compared to a studio sound and its very apparent on some songs

There will be one. There are two variants. Just don’t know when yet.

This is too good. Paper Tigers continues to be massive and Hoods is my favorite Thrice song and this new version hits in all the right ways

Kinda love the new version of "All That's Left." The guitar tone is so crisp.

As someone who feels like they missed the boat on this record the first time around, this re-recording is finally hitting the spot. That last minute of Abolition of Man, holy shit.

Listening to this makes me realize how great this album was the first time around. I'm glad they didn't do too much to change the songs structurally. I was prepared to hate this, but they did an awesome job.

As someone who came to this album (and the band) a few years later as a Tooth & Nail / Solid State Records fan, it’s funny hearing some of the moments I hadn’t heard in years in that vein. I’m remembering all over again how that Haste the Day, Underoath thread organically led into this for me.

I got the original version of this for my 19th birthday, and it really was the perfect post-adolescent album for me. No wonder Thrice was my favorite band in my early 20s, to the point where my peers used that when parodying me. (Thankfully, as I said last night, this also holds up great in my mid 30s!)

Also love rediscovering how thematically tight this thing is. So much frustration with the world as is and searching for truth and justice and beauty, which is unfortunately a timeless struggle. (Maybe my “thankfully” above isn’t completely accurate, lol.) Lots of rage and desperation in regards to earth, and lots of grasping with the sun in the sky.

“In summers past, we'd challenge fate with higher pitch and perfect aim” is this album’s version of Taylor Swift’s “we were both young when I first saw you”: a lyric giving new weight from the perspective of a years-later revisit.

This is very good! Won't say it's better then the original when that's the one I'll probably continue coming back to more as I like the raw heaviness to it but I'm glad this was more than just an acoustic version like many bands do with these anniversary albums lol

What's really gonna be fun is fans starting to do their own edits (ex old Dustin vocals over new instrumentation)
