I catalog my records like I would books. Solo artists are done by last name. I know streaming does it by first name, but I can’t bring myself to do it that way.

I initially had all the “the’s” in T. I hated it. That changed quickly as my collection grew.

Mail days round up from the past week and change. Super busy week.

I got Panic! the day “they” broke up. I found it amusing.

Using iTunes during my formative years trained my brain to to use their system (first letter of the first word/name, excluding “The,” numbers at the end)

i think my collection is simply just mimicking how it shows up in discogs. it just makes it easiest that way i guess. but one time i had a record that was in a completely wrong spot for some reason and i spent like literal hours finding it… my eyes went right past it a million times. so it can be dangerous when things aren’t in the right spot.

    Definitely a 2006 jam.

Really liked that Rookie of the Year record at the time, but watching how things played out after that took me out of it. Kind of crazy/sad that band never stopped. I remember digging the follow up record, but remember there being drama leading up to it. Not sure how to describe my feelings entirely. Always seemed like they were trying a little too hard. Idk.

  20. Yeah, I loved that first album so much. Saw them a couple times. Ryan would put me on their guestlist at shows around here. But the ones that came after never really did it for me. I'll probably get a copy of the new pressing though, for nostalgia.

My thoughts exactly. Felt like Ryan was very cocky.

"Liars and Battlelines" is still a jam though!

Hope we see This Day and Age repress/first press on the horizon one day soon!

  22. I was never really into this full album so I probably won't try to get this record, but "Exit, Emergency" was my jaaaaam back in the day.

Of all the acts that were trying to do the Dashboard thing on MySpace, I did think Rookie of the Year did it best on the Goodnight Moon. Always thought that was way better than Secondhand Serenade, which never did anything for me. It’s all kind of funny looking back now. Agreed on Liars and Battlelines.

Not really a fan of Houston Calls, but I'm so excited that they're finally pressing LPs. Get your money ready folks.
