there is something about everyone is dressed up that just really reminds me of the first LP immediately. Idk what it is, could just be the guitar line.

 

I'm on my 5th listen of this and it keeps getting better.

As happy as I am with the record, I am a little disappointed for the band it leaked so soon.

 

Yea I am too. I preordered it on iTunes actually bc I felt bad lol.. these leaks probably really hurt album sales. I mean we are the point now where if someone wants the album for free they are going to get it. At least it leaked in good quality could you imagine a bad download floating around for 3 weeks

Tried listening to this today, but didn't make it all the way through. I recognize good production, but nothing about the songs were really pulling me in.

Will make another attempt soon.

Perfect fall day. Took my dog for a long walk and threw this on and it's perfect. Didn't know how much I needed this record apparently

 

It's weird, I feel the EXACT same way about this as a I feel about the debut. Fucking love the opener, the rest is ok but gets eclipsed by the opener for me.

This is way more immediate than he first LP IMO. Desire was very unexpected. Like that one a lot

The verses are my favorite part. Haha.

Overall, the album doesn't have that "never meant" on it. In my opinion there isn't a song where I'm like, "bam! this is definitely the single!" But all the songs are good. I just need to listen to it a few more hundred times to see how I feel about individual songs. Right now, the album just flows along beautifully and it's good background music while I do dishes and shit.

Now I just need a new Quicksand album. If fuckin American Football can do it, then they can too, god dammit!

 

I feel like tracks 2 and 8 feel like that for me. Really happy with this, exactly what I wanted a second record from them to sound like

Didn't know anyone else knew that band, haha. Just got into them this year, but I really dig 'em.

 

I've loved them for like 12 years. Soooo good! And they keep playing random shows. They must have some new music they could release! They're so fucking good. Haha!

I get that Never Meant has a really special place in a lot of people's hearts, but it's truly an overrated song. It's not even the best song on the album.

Anyway, this album is great. Hard to pick a favorite. It's either one of the last three or My Instincts Are The Enemy.
