In a way it reminds me of the White Reaper “Pages” rollout. If you’re starting with this curveball and it still rocks, the stuff on the record is gonna knock my tits off.

 

With the 7" there's no way to order the yellow? It's just luck of the draw?

its a Patreon exclusive, you have to have a password. But there’s also not 500 patrons so I’m assuming it’ll be available at some point

 

They released a little history on the Big Bear (their old home that the band used to live in together and no longer do as of recently) on the patreon as well. Seems like this song is just a one off. Here's a snippet of the writing:

"The release of Bye Bye Big Bear closes that chapter of our lives as we enter the next one. I know Luke and I are both very excited to bring you along for the ride and we thank you for sticking around. Here's to the future!"

 

Is yellow is still available via the password method? Wanna order it today, but figured I'd double check before I jump through all the hoops.

 

Hmmm it looks like it's not actually, there's nowhere to put in the password and now it says "Randomly Inserted Limited Edition Opaque Yellow 7" Vinyl"

 

Ahhh ok, thanks. TBH that's the way the pre-order page looked for me on the day it went public (no password section), so maybe I needed to be a Patron before the pre-order officially dropped to order the yellow variant.

 

Got my Big Bear 7" today. Ready for the new full length!
