Called the leasing office. The assistant manager answered. I explained how I feel like guy upstairs is dumping his beer or other sticky liquid and it’s hitting my window. And now I’ve seen this residue before but didn’t know where it came from. Guess what… an excuse “maybe he dropped it” -.- no. He’s dumping it. If he dropped it, he can come downstairs, knock on my door and say sorry I dropped my drink, let me clean your window off for you. Also I mentioned the littering of beer cans again. Don’t forget I think he’s the one that was littering the cigarette buts, but they did nothing! The can littering is ongoing but nothing ever happens! Dude appears to be no younger than his mid to late 40s. Fucking lazy is what he is. Can’t throw away his own garbage, and lets it fly into the front of my unit (I don’t see garbage in front of other people unit from the storm), and too lazy to go inside to dump something. Also if he was doing this over last summer (I can’t recall how long ago I started seeing the residue but I remember cleaning my window off from shit over the summer), then he was the cause of my bad gnat problem

 

The pieces of media that have gotten the biggest fan backlash are because of a female main character. Captain Marvel, She-Hulk, Velma, and now Forspoken. The sexism shows.

Being forced to do paperless billing.

 

Trying not to be negative about this but left my apartment today to find a letter taped to it telling all residents that as of today the property had new owners. Can’t help but feel like taping a fuckin’ note to the door is a bad sign of things to come lol but will see what happens

What’s most irritating is I literally paid my rent 30 seconds before leaving and finding the letter and the letter says to no longer use the app because that’s the old owner companies app and new info about how to pay will be sent out “soon” so now I’m like, uh, did I just pay someone a bunch of money and will I get it back or will it roll over to cover for February and how long will it take to find that out lol

 

My landlord asking me to make up the difference between my original security deposit of $1100 with my current rent of $1475. Asking me to cut a $375 check on top of rent within 5 days. Fuck off.

 

I had several thing annoy me today. The dryer on my floor wasn’t working so I went up a floor but didn’t see the laundry room so I went up another floor and realized where the laundry rooms are on the other floors so went back down a floor and almost tripped down the stairs carrying a load of heavy wet clothes. Then had to dry the load twice and some stuff still came out damp. Came back to make dinner and my kitchen sink is clogged. Then I just went to the store and this lady made me slam on my breaks because she pulled out in front of me without looking. When I get back the only spots left are the furthest away. Luckily I’ve been in a decent mood all day so I’m not too annoyed right now but my god.

 

This story fits this thread because the main antagonist is an annoying shithead I have had to deal with almost every work day for the last 3 years.

Yesterday after months of telling this shithead that he doesn’t make the world go round and can’t change protocol for customers, we finally get a meeting scheduled with the folks that actually change policies and such. Right when I join - and before anyone outside of our division joins - he starts saying we should play nice, just listen to what they have to say, not throw anyone under the bus, blah blah blah.

The call starts, all going well, he asks his question / his demand which is what I’ve been telling him to shut the fuck up about for 8 months now and the movers and shakers on the call absolutely demolish him lmao. They literally asked him to repeat what he was trying to get the customers to do, say they’re in silence for about 20 seconds after he finished, very loudly sighed, said “yeahhhhh no…” and then fucking demolished him again.

Might go down as my favorite work conference call ever. Annoying shithead was literally baffled that his wish/plan got rejected, I wish he had his camera on so I could have seen his reaction.

 

Jealous of you for having experienced this. There are some people at work I would give minor body parts to see put in their place

 

Online store that has a pullover I’m interested in. On the item page, there’s no mention of its material, a sizing chart, or the brand used. Return policy states that no exchanges will be made, only returns and they’re not refunding shipping or offering a shipping label. Being a consumer is very cool!

When you buy something from a store like Walmart, target or local grocery store, and you run out or you liked the item, go back to look for it, and they no longer carry it. Like several years ago I bought a no rinse foam wash at what i recall was Walmart from the baby isle, now I can’t find it anywhere. I bought a butter chicken or maybe it was curry season mix at grocery store. Can’t find it anywhere. And I only bought one because I didn’t know if I was going to like it.

On the topic of movies, I remember someone slandering David Lynch in this thread, and I will say I love Twin Peaks to death and most of his movies too but I just recently watched Blue Velvet with my wife and upon seeing her reaction to it I can understand why it’s not a universal appeal
