I’m visiting family for 8 days in NY and my little guy is down in Texas. didn’t even leave the ATX airport before i was missing him like crazy. luckily my sister has three adorable cats but still not the same

been a wild 24 hours or so, I got home from the gym early yesterday and morning and my cat kinda comes lethargically to the kitchen, while almost howling. then he just kind of lays down and starts to have a seizure in front of me, it maybe lasted 30 seconds but it felt like it was an hour or so. so I kinda just watch him til the vet opens so I can call to get him in, and for about an hour or so after it happened hes pretty disoriented and out of it. im able to get him in, and right as we are about to leave he seemed to have been coming back to his senses and somewhat normal but we still take him in. the physical check is good, he has a normal heart rate and breathing, but says he could lose a pound or two lmao. so now we just wait on blood work that they took to see if there are any underlying conditions which hopefully we get back today.

but as of this morning he is basically back to normal, hes back to yeeting and zooming around. so I hope it was just a one off thing which the vet said is also possible, but I guess we will find out from the tests.

 

but goddamn are vets expensive, just for bloodwork it was 450 lol. luckily I have pet insurance so that SHOULD cover close to half of it (his deductible is like 250).

 

That’s scary, hoping everything is alright

he’s good! the vet called yesterday and said his blood work came back good. So he just thinks it was a rare/one time seizure that happened (Hopefully). Otherwise he is back to normal/annoying self
