If it’s a PO Box for fan mail, why is it weird that…a fan knows about it? lol

Royalties just from High Hopes alone is enough to keep him afloat for the rest of his life. I don’t even listen to the radio and can’t go a day without hearing it somewhere.

The dude who wrote High Hopes is not going back to perform Time to Dance with people he hates in two years

Jesus this thread is a lot uglier than I expected

I thought VLV was a really good album and I'll miss seeing the shows, they were always a ton of fun. He'll be back though

It’s undercutting the reality of the situation significantly to say the members have beef. There is serious trauma there. Outside of actual lived experiences and conversations, Ryan was catfished by a “fan” into believing he had a reconnected friendship with Brendon in 2013 for a significant amount of time and then posted self harm after finding out the truth. This band’s history is truly cursed.

(source, but major content warning for just about everything awful you can imagine in this scenario: http://bit.ly/3HymjJm)

That’s not on Brendon though, is it? Would it rule out a reunion later on?

Jesus Christ, after reading that I understand why Brendon would want the band to end with him having a kid. Good riddance to that fucking fandom.

a pretty odd way to call it quits for this band considering all the theatrics of the past, but I guess it’s probably in his best interest to put it to rest.

I guess this also means that, for me at least, they truly never could top Vices. what a phenomenal record with stellar b-sides. I was obsessed with that album cycle. time flies.

Out of curiosity I went to this Instagram and I have2 questions. Why would he edit a caption on a post from 2015? And who would notice that? lol

I have the same opinion on Vices and no one wants to give John Feldmann his dues on it. Look, I’m not a big California fan myself. But his Decaydance work (Vices, Symphony Soldier, D.R.U.G.S., etc.) is unmatched. He clearly had a huge hand in making those records as special sounding as they are.

    Things have changed.

He and Butch should get equal credit for that record, because they co-wrote and produced the hell out of it.

Not sure if anyone saw this, but it's fan speculating on all the lyrics of VLV, and a lot of it to me seems premeditated to be the last Panic album.

I think Brendon had every intention of making this his last album. He just didn't tell the masses that was his plan. I for one have been enjoying dissecting lines from the songs and figuring them metaphors. I think a lot of it is a metaphor for Brendon being done. He barely did any press, let the music videos and music speak for themselves and did a tour where he barely spoke in between songs and played the whole album front to back. It didn't sell well, and the tour wasn't as successful as ones in the past. I think (or at least hope) it will grow on people in the long run. Maybe the execution of the album wasn't the best (I have some gripes sonically how it sounds and Urie overdoing the singing at times), but I think it's a great album. It's definitely an interesting way to go out. I'll fight for this album as long as I live, goddamn it lol.
