I wonder if they're aiming for a July release to get as close as possible to the official anniversary?

Hopefully this means they have a USA tour planned for this at some point this year

Eh... much like the TV stuff, I will very likely prefer the original sound better (especially that song, based off that snippit).

I'm jazzed for the re-recordings - it's the album that got me into them. I'm sure the record will be a great change of pace for a couple spins, but the original will always be the original.

The clip sounds great. I think the instrumentation has a bit more clarity to me.

    I genuinely can’t believe they re-recorded TAITA.

You all sure that's a re-recorded clip? It doesn't say that anywhere.

I mean, I’ve heard that song a million times. That is a different recording. Not a doubt in my mind.

Edit: I’ll hedge a bit since I admittedly only watched the video on my phone so it’s not the most crisp audio. But my initial reaction was that was new.

It's definitely different, but it sounds a little live to me, but I am listening through laptop speakers.

I edited my post because my speaker situation wasn’t much better. So I hedged a bit.

But it definitely struck me as different.

And that photo was the purported cover of the revisited album. So, I don’t know. It all seems to be real.

Oh yeah I don't doubt they are re-recording it. A moderator on the Thrice Alliance discord said "There may be more to come hehe"

So guaranteed that's happening. Hope it happens soon.

Vocal sounds amazing on that re-recorded silhouette verse! Biggest fear for me will be if they can nail the screams.

My biggest fear is them cutting a lot of those screams or making them cleans. Can’t imagine Dustin reproducing what his voice did in 2003.

That would be a misstep unless it’s only in a few places, which he’s done on some illusion of safety songs live that I’ve enjoyed.

This is a damn fine cup of coffee.

Dustin still screams with the best of them. I don't understand these concerns.

Always makes me think of A Killing Moon by Echo & the bunnymen. Fantastic track, by the way.

Wouldn’t surprise me if they recorded it live in studio, kind of like the JEW Phoenix Sessions, as they were working on the arrangements for the anniversary tour(s).
