Oh my god I was just thinking about Gatsbys last night and lo and behold, they're up and moving. Praying for at least something in the Pacific Northwest so I can take a cheap flight to Vancouver and make my way from there.

 

theyre on furnace fest, probably a tour to coincide with that. wouldn't be surprised if theyre on the other fall festivals.

 

if that's seriously the announcement...

 

God I'm just on my knees praying for a UK date. Think it's unlikely, but then this whole thing feels unlikely.

I'm happy with it. Kinda pissed I have a meeting at the exact time they go on sale, but going to make it work.

 

There will definitely be more shows. I’m holding off on flying to LA as April is a super inconvenient time for me.

Fingers crossed they play San Francisco sometime this summer!

 

Has that been announced? Know what date? That'd get me to buy a single-day ticket.

A 24-hour tease to announce their first show in nearly 12 years feels entirely reasonable to me?

 

Yeah, I’m not mad at this… as long as more shows/vinyl presses are eventually announced

 

dont know if vinyl is in the cards because fearless still owns the rights and wasn't interested as of last year. its possible but I don't think thats gunna happen.

 

Why not tease a show? What do you want them to do.... just, not post about it? Just randomly play a show and not tell anyone? Not get anyone excited? Seems normal for a band to hype up a show haha

I like that they teased it. It got people talking about them more and will ultimately lead to more.

 

So many people truly do not understand marketing on this site. Just announcing something with zero tease/warning usually doesn’t work. There’s a reason almost every single band does this.

 

I mean I get it, people are annoyed that they got excited and the thing announced doesn't include them. But yeah, it would make no sense to not get people paying attention before announcing a reunion show or anything for that matter. You can't please everyone, but there are a lot of excited people, myself included.

 

personally wanting something more is way more important than bands turning a profit in the worst time ever to be a musician /s

….essentially waiting to write these guys a blank check. Lol

 

Can’t wait for this show to sell out and then (hopefully) a tour is announced. Preferably within driving distance of me lol
