Queer Eye is still great

 

Binged that 90s show. I wouldn't call it "Disney channel" vibes, and it followed a similar formula to the original show. But, it still fell short and was pretty weak to me. My fiance fucking loved it though and was constantly laughing throughout.

 

Also, whoever said that the show leans too much on the original cast is crazy. I was craving more. Kelso and Jackie showed up for like two seconds.

 

Not sure how everyone else feels about it, but I enjoyed The Ranch quite a bit. Like, I don’t think it’s that great of a show, but I kept coming back to it to see what happened next.

 

Yea, while they did have cameos from a lot of legacy cast, it was all still driven by the current main cast of the kids and Red/Kitty.

 

I’m three episodes in on That 90s Show and loving it so far. Original cast don’t overstay their welcome, but it’s still got that vibe of the original. The actor playing Jay really nails the Kelso mannerisms.

 

Also 3 episodes into Kaleidoscope. Not bad so far, but does it actually shuffle the episodes? As of now the three episodes I’ve watched are in the exact order they’re listed as (Yellow-Green-Blue).

 

mine definitely shuffled because I got the “last” episode like 3rd or 4th.

 

There’s a feature that I think I’ve only seen Amazon Prime do and they’ve had it for years now - when you pause what you’re watching it’ll show you the actor names of those in the scene you have paused.

I’ve never really paid attention to feature until just now and it served its purpose 1000%. I’m watching Vengeance and in the opening scene there’s a guy talking that looks like John Mayer. I was just about to grab my phone and Google it when I got my answer as soon as I hit pause as his name and picture showed up. The feature did exactly what it was supposed to do and that’s kind of cool since most streaming options have oddball features that we wonder why they spent time on some of them.

 

They might be the only ones who can do it. Pretty sure they own IMDB and that’s why it does that.

 

think it also tells you what song is playing in the background at least sometimes

I just started watching The Mole and I’m intrigued so far. Anyone watch it? Worth it? No spoilers, please!

How old are we talking? A few years or like something from a long time ago that got resurrected?

 

Mine played in order, which is kinda dumb, but whatever. Honestly I thought the show sucked by the end, I barely cared about the last few episodes

 

I'm pretty sure it was early 2000's like '01 maybe

 

Been watching The Peripheral on Prime. Got a few episodes left. It’s pretty enjoyable, though a little too high concept and not enough explanation at times.

I like that Amazon is taking risks on sci-fi and fantasy stuff.

 

I feel like Prime rarely promotes anything and picks one thing a year to go hard on and then you don’t hear from them again

 

I can't believe we haven't heard anything about league of their own yet

gonna be interesting to see what they do after Maisel is over

 

I see a lot of promotion on Amazon itself, but very true. Feel like only Wheel of Time, The Boys, and Lord of the Rings got any big pushes in the last year and a half or so from them.

Though, there used to be Prime ads before movies at my local Regal theaters where they cut scenes from all the prime shows to tell you to turn off your phone.
