Coheed & Cambria Band • Page 93

  1. I remember exactly where I was when I heard Coheed for the first time. It changed my world. The next day I went to the local library and ordered their first two CDs and waited very impatiently for Good Apollo to drop.

  2. I was in high school. I heard “everything evil” on the radio in the backseat of my dad’s car. I bought the CD from my friend’s dad’s record store that weekend.

That's a dope station if they're playing EE - you probably got introduced to a plethora of awesome bands from it

Can’t believe these guys and Incubus are coming to Wilmington, NC! Gonna be a great show on the river front. Haven’t seen these guys since like 04/05. Will definitely be the smallest venue I will have seen incubus at too. It’s going to be a great show.

my online girlfriend that i met on The Sims Online sent me the song "Neverender", which i thought was super weird but i also loved it! not long after A Favor House and Blood Red Summer music videos were constantly being played on Fuse/MTV, and i became obsessed with IKS. ahh simpler times.....

Yeah "A Favor House Atlantic" music video was always on Fuse. I was like 13 and learning guitar, and Guitar World tabbed that song out in an issue.

I got a mix tape from my cousin, who I really looked up to. He said skip the third track its weird. It was Delirium Trigger. Immediately fell in love with it and probably marked the beginning of me finding my own taste at 12 years old.

Friend of mine turned me onto Coheed with IKS in the spring of 2004. I was flipping through the CD booklet when the title track was playing and I was instantly hooked and perplexed. Flash forward to that summer and I see them play Warped at like 11am and was a fan for life.

I was at an HMV listening station in 2004 and was like “In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth:3, cool album title” and then I got to Blood Red Summer and it was over, hooked immediately

  12. I was in a journalism class editing the high school's newspaper when the person sitting next to me just started playing "In Keeping Secrets" from front to back. By the end of class, I was sold.

I think I saw the A Favor House Atlantic video on Fuse and immediately bought IKS. Must have been in 2003/2004. I know my brother's friends were into them so I may have heard some Second Stage songs before then

Intro to the band was Delirium Trigger off the Warped Tour '03 comp. Thought it was so spooky and just had to learn the riff.

edit: I meant 'original' not 'spooky.' oops.

    We talking Coheed origin stories?

Well... It was a cool early-fall night and I was crammed into a 2004 Nissan Altima with 6 people on the way to a haunted house when A Favor House Atlantic came on. The rest is history.

BIRMINGHAM! That's a really cool outdoor venue too. Very excited. A NWFT/AWOTWM setlist should be amazing.
