    My predictions for spring tours

FYS "Rise or Die Trying" 10 year tour with Knucklepuck, Have Mercy, Trash Boat, Boston Manor

Real Friends headliner with Saves The Day, Broadside and Rarity.

The long awaited 20th Anniversary tour for Alkaline Trio that's been delayed quite a long time due to Blink. I think Anti Flag or The Bouncing Souls would be a great picks to open this.

Menzingers headliner with support from Joyce Manor, Red City Radio and Lee Corey Oswald.

I'd really like to see some older bands tour with some new bands. I think a Real Friends/Bayside or Saves The Day coheadliner would be a lot of fun and expose both bands to new crowds.

August burns Red's messengers and Parkway Drive's horizons could see 10 year tours this year.

I would guess Abr would skip messengers in favor of waiting to do a Constellations 10 year though. Which album is more "iconic"? I've always been in favor of constellations.

The only tour I need in 2017 is a 10 year tour of FTWHH

I don't even know what tours I want anymore. I am the point where I've seen every band that I really want to see a couple of times. I would like Moving Mountains to your though, with someone like Foxing or Balance and Composure.

Nah, I'd leave before real friends 100/100 and people I know who like real friends would either just stare at their phones or come late for real friends.

To add to this I don't think it would be a co-headliner just judging by the different sizes crowds they drew at Warped Tour. Saves The Day maybe had two rows of people at my date in 2014, while this last year Real Friends had a moderate-big size crowd. I realize that this isn't always the best way to judge things but I think it's quite drastic enough to say something.

Lmao the crowd Saves The Day draws at warped means nothing. Real Friends demographic attends warped tour as their once concert of the year.

A tour like that could work if the bands were ordered appropriately. Get an opener that's popular with Real Friends' fanbase and stick Saves The Day between the two.

Just look at the Wonder Years/Motion City Soundtrack/State Champs tour last year. If MCS closed those shows they would have been lucky to be playing to a half full venue when they took the stage every night.

oh my god, I'm back on my bullshit Prestigious

The only 10th anniversary tour that I would care about would be The '59 Sound but I know that probably won't happen.

Oh yeah, oh yeah, everything is terrible.

Matchbox Twenty anniversary tour for Yourself or Someone Like You next year or bust

Wasn't TDWP supposed to do a tour for their 10 anniversary as a band?

Yeah, in 2015, they just did the Zombie 5 tour, Mayhem Fest, and Apollo X. Things don't go as planned I guess...

It could for sure happen too! I just want a tour with a lot of the spacey sounding bands to happen.

I've always liked the tours TDWP puts together. I have yet to go to a date of any, but the bills are great imo. A few of my favorites include:

Dead Throne Tour 2011 w/ Whitechapel, Enter Shikari, and For Today
Zombie 5 Tour w/ Born Of Osiris, The Word Alive, and Secrets (just Secrets and Sleepwave on the second leg)
8:18 Tour w/ The Ghost Inside, Volumes, and Texas In July

I went to the Zombie 5 tour and every band was phenomenal. Dead Throne and 8:18 didn't come to my area but they are very good lineups. I'm surprised they haven't done something with ATB or Northlane, that I know of.

Yeah, I've always thought them touring with TDWP would reach them to new fans, especially those who want to get into the more atmospheric and technical side of metalcore (not that TDWP haven't become atmospheric). Plus, Northlane haven't been back to our shores since their co-headliner with Volumes at the end of 2015.

What was the 20th Anniversary Alkaline Trio tour supposed to consist of?

Motionless in White/Atreyu, The Word Alive, Capsize, + a smaller opener. Calling it now as a guess.

I really hope we do get Alkaline Trio in some capacity in 2017. I miss them.

They just did those Past Live shows. I think a 29 year anniversary tour seems unnecessary.

I hope this is like small pre promotion for a spring tour. I wonder if the openers would be mixed in from their respective genres as well. Maybe like Cane Hill and Broadside. I can seriously would love more mixed genre tours.

Agreed. One of my favorite shows of the past couple years was We Are the In Crowd / William Beckett / Set It Off / State Champs / Candy Hearts. So much fun top to bottom, even if the crowd didn't get along at every point in the evening.

Same goes with Real Friends opening up for The Maine and Mayday Parade, respectively.

Or the ETID/Real Friends/Coutnerparts tour a couple years back.
