A friend described the Mitrovic penalty as the most Newcastle thing ever, that somehow happened to Fulham instead of Newcastle.

You can take the man out of the city...

I was trying to describe myself to someone

It almost seems harsh to punish him for taking such a remarkable penalty. Was a great, unconventional, finish. :D

“Chelsea bid £40m for Leandro Trossard. The Belgian signs a 6 year deal worth £200k a week”

  5. Arsenal signing Trossard after beating us might be the tipping point for our fanbase lol

Spurs put in a bid of £12m for Trossard. There is no way they’re signing him.

  8. Yeah, I don’t think we’re as interested as previous reports indicated. Apparently we bid 12m a week or so ago and haven’t returned at all.

    It's all hell.

I'm not going to read it because I would rather rub carolina reaper chillis into my eyes than read The Daily Mail, but this was the first thing that came up when I was just looking at transfer news lol

I heard Arsenal REALLY want to renew Cedric’s contract and would in no way accept a £20m bid for him… @ToddBoehly

  14. Newcastle reportedly going for Malo Gusto now. I think he’s a better value signing than Porro. And while Spurs fans would be mad about going with the “value signing” I think we’d also be upset when he’s killing it for Newcastle.

    Welcome to Chelsea.

Apparently he wants CL football though so maybe we have a shot until Chelsea offer 450k p/w

Rice is a Chelsea fan, for the record. That could sway his mind regardless of CL football.

  17. He’ll be gone before the season is over. 3 wins in our last 9 PL matches.

  18. Both sides deserve blame for it falling apart. It sucks but it just feels inevitable now.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

If we replace him, I want Gallardo. Realistically we’re just going back to Poch

  20. If Kane were to leave after this season, which wouldn’t surprise me at this rate, what kind of fee would be expected? Obviously it’d be less than what we asked for a couple years ago with City. 80m?

Genuinely no idea. I’d think Kane wants to stay in the PL to catch Shearer but that very much limits who can buy him. Chelsea, probably not. Us maybe, Newcastle, Splash big on the best English striker of the generation? Don’t know why he’d leave Spurs to join them though

Arsenal is off the table, as are Liverpool and probably City following Nunez and Haaland. I’d say it’s £90/100m for us or Newcastle.

On mainland Europe it would only really be Bayern. Real don’t seem to interested and neither do PSG unless I’ve missed some rumours about them. Probably £65/£70m for Bayern to avoid Kane staying in the league.

  23. I'm still thinking United will be the landing spot if he stays in England, which I think is his preference. But I suppose Bayern wouldn't be too surprising. I still think it's kinda silly to go there to prove you're good enough to win a trophy when they win that league with or without him. Kane's greatness will be the same either way. But it'll make his resume look better on paper when he retires.

I’ve no idea to be honest. A lot hinges on CL and new owners. We would probably need to sell a bunch of players to be able to spend that on him + get a keeper, right back, possibly new centre/left back depending on what happens with Shaw and Maguire oh and of course the neverending pursuit of FDJ. Most rumours I’ve read about striker focus on Gonçalo Ramos, a small bit on Osimhen but they’re mostly rumours to say Napoli are too hard to deal with lol
