Absolutely stumped by the VAR penalty decisions at Newcastle today. How did they not give the the pull back, but then seconds later gave one for what looked more like a foul by the Fulham player (if anything).

They just showed it on MoTD and the angles they showed the ref are really odd and also, the ref didn't even watch all the angles. How can you watch the two messy zoomed out shots and then not watch the close ups which show how the players actually collided? Curious as to how they pick the order of the clips they play for the ref.

I guess Mike Dean still wants to be the star.

 

Definitely thought the second one was a stonewall until a couple of replays. But that first one, jeesus. Seems like they gave the second to make up for not giving that.
