does that mean you or anyone who's read the novel can tell these things?

Not really sure what you’re asking but I never read the book. I just hate when trailers give away half the plot

It does feel like I know a lot after that trailer.

Haven’t read it but I find it somewhat odd that none of the promotional content has even mentioned it’s based on a novel.

    That poster is phenomenal.

I wonder how much, if anything, M Night changed from the novel.

because people will try to look up the plot/spoilers if they know it's a book

That would be…incredibly stupid if true. Authors deserve recognition when their books are made into movies.

  9. Love Bautista, but I think this looks pretty bad, unfortunately

Paul Tremblay is great and so is this book

He deserves more publicity for this

The posters are really, really cool. I gotta admit, Bautista tends to take me out of every film I’ve seen him in, but I’ll give this a fair shot.

Bautista is a very large part of me wanting to see this. Weird to imagine him being a hindrance.

I'm a big wrestling fan and I prefer his acting over his wrestling haha. He also seems perfect for this role, having read the book.

Just read the story, now I’m interested to see how he changes the ending, if he does.

The ending in the story is not a typical M Night ending, imo.

I think that this will bad solely on the fact that at this point, M Night has a track record of taking competent actors, and forcing them to deliver lines that make them razzie contenders. I am not in the 'he hasn't done a good movie since the sixth sense' camp, but he has delivered far too many duds for me to have any confidence in this.

I will admit that I am intrigued by the concept, and will stay away from the source material, and give this a go, but my expectations will be extremely low for it to actually be a good movie.
