Was coming here to post this. Tanner does vocals, drums, and some guitar, and the guys from Inexorum are on guitar and bass. Some killer 90's-style melodic death metal.

 

Haven’t listened to any Obituary records since Frozen in Time but I’m into the new song

 

I'm not a baseball fan but some of these are pretty sick

 

There are definitely lots of jokey metal logo designs in the margins of my college notebooks.

47 Metal Albums We're Anticipating in 2023

 

I can't wait to hear what Job For a Cowboy does next.

 

Wonder what Baroness is gonna name their next album.

 

It'll be the brown color you get when you mix every color together on a palette.

 

Japanese death/doom/hardcore band Kruelty have a new single from their album out 3/17 on Profound Lore:

Swedish death metallers Bastard Grave have a new single from their album also out in March. FFO Entombed:

 

I'd say it'll be worth it. I'm only familiar with Fugitive and Fleshrot, but that's enough for me.

 

Ozone and Burning are both from Dallas/Ft. Worth and share members. Two of my favorite up and coming bands. Ozone is hardcore and Burning is death metal. I'd definitely recommend checking out Ozone's material. Unfortunately Burning only has two songs out right now and they didn't do a lot for me on record, but live they were a powerhouse. Sadistic Force is speed metal outta Austin. They're cool, but speed metal's not really my thing. I'm not familiar with Unit.

 

I will certainly dig into some of these bands shortly! Texas seems to have the best newer heavy bands so I'm sure some of them will be right up my alley for sure.
